Has Solitaire gone bust? I can't find their website anymore either?!

No they haven't went in to their shop today and a mate and myself ordered a bat each. The bats they had in the shop were lovely and I've ordered myself a 2lb11 off of them - i'll see what they come up with for me.

I don't think I delt with roger... I think his son or someone else that works for Solitaire opened up the shop for us and we had a look at the bat and the softs. The gloves they had were lovely, really comfortable and I'm thinking about purchasing some when I go back to pick up my bat.

Just make sure that you ensure the weight is spot on!
I had Seedy's Solitaire off him, and it's around 2'14 and the willow is excellent!
So we know he does quality bats with quality willow. But the question mark seems to be over the ability to produce the correct weight requested by the customer? Did you ask them to ensure that they delivered a 2'11 bat?
Another thing I would make clear if I was asking them for a bat, is to ensure that they realise that the weight I am requesting is for a bat that is gripped up, toe, and scufsheet on...just so there is no misunderstanding!

Pretty much,

His son(s)? came and took our orders, he wrote down 2lb11 and there was a 2lb11 bat in the shop that was pretty much what I was looking for, so hopefully it'll be very similar to that one in the shop.

Best place I have seen is a Milsom original off set edge technology plus fully bespoke service or a silly shilly custom ( he may do you one if you ask nice )
