Overage colts players
« on: August 17, 2010, 10:20:27 PM »

Lost our under 17 game yesterday. Australian scored a hundred for them. Looked him up today and hes 18! The team we played has already been threatened wi i being chucked out of league as for years they have brought players in from county age groups for big games. Anyone experienced anything like this before? Naturally i have informed our coach surely we must go through now and they will be expelled?

we usually did school years... it was a bit informal really.... because somerset is so small pretty much all of us always knew all of the opposition in youth games!

I know that due to where my birthday fell I was able to
Play u17 when I was 18, but only because the league rules allowed it.

My birthday is August 28th so I can't play U-17 next season by 4 days, and we don't have one this year :(

lots of overseas players write themselves down as much younger. A 17 year old Pakistani overseas put himself in the U14 team because he would be guaranteed a game. Although i can understand that it still does my nut.

Muhammad Amir is a friend of a friend and he is actually 23, not 18. Apparently lots of players do this but no one raises an eyebrow because the paperwork doesnt require any form of id .. or something along those lines.

you would hope they wud be disquafied etc but you never know..

recently in are village knock out game..

the team we played againts 2 of there players last year played for another club...

and the rules state that the players must have played 4 competetive league matches in the year before the transfer..

so houtain main CC submited ilegal score sheets to wisdom cricket with the 2 players names in.

we reported them and wisdom turned round and bascially said we know but we have given them a slap on the wrists and the result still stands,...

so things dont allways work out as you hope!

I would be amazed if this is true!!!!  Seems a little far fetched?

we are in the same league as H st M and i'm not 100 per cent sure but there are 16 year old playing in U-15 teams quite often.H st M know what they are doing so it's prob all legit...
Hamza Riazuddin (hants)played for H st M in Middx and I played against his dad who was a class cricketer way back...

they also have a couple or def one u-15 england player currently in their colts
