Yea Barry Richards, Graeme Pollock and Jimmy Cook, unbelievable players who unfortunately only played a handfull of test matches. Just look at their first class stats.

Jimmy Cook hit over 7500 runs in 3 seasons at Somerset including 28 hundreds !!!!

Oh yea, now IVA.....my favourite by a mile. Jimmy Cook was a run machine but in the Hick/Gooch mold (but better) just churned runs out but perhaps not the most attractive.

IVA did everything with style. Different class.

duncan fearnley magnum
gunn moore maistrow

clear favourites

good match up newbery v duncan fearnley i suspect my magnum might lose because of the age of the crowd booo hooooo
To be fair, every Fearnley I have ever used has been a bit of a plank, whilst the Newbery's have just gone. And I grew up while Hick was using one, never understanding how it scored so many runs. May have been the difference in batsman quality though...

How coincidental is it that Tom (Ayrtek) owns a scat!
