Are you joking? Cook averages 45, and is still only 25! He has been a consistent performer, and a solid member of the team! I can never really remember a situation where he has had to make a career saving hundred other than the Oval Test vs Pakistan, however he has made several career defining hundreds....
why do you think everyone always goes on about the pressure on him all the time, because he's often under pressure for his place. care to share his career defining hundreds? you can leave out his most recent one. If Trescothic wasn't "bipolar" cook wouln't have an international career.

Seeing as this is a mongoose topic i will not comment here on this issue again. Feel free to create a Cook vs Trescothic topic of some sort if you wish.

You say that Cook wouldn't have a career and Im inclined to agree with you I'm no big Cook fan. However if Tres was still play when Strauss was dropped Cook would have come in and may well still be there. Strauss never scores mountains of runs in county cricket to force himself back in. So whilst Cook might not have had a career Strauss might never have been captain and his career finished.

Trezza chose to bat for most of the last day of Kent - Somerset at Canterbury this summer, instead of declaring early and having a shot at the weakest batting line up in Division One of the County Championship.  Somerset might have won the championship if he'd bothered to be adventurous that day.

And it doesn't say anywhere that Trezza is bipolar.

Tresco has a physiological thing but he is the better player but in the past now of people want to knock cook who could replace him very few could match his temperament

Want to remove this Mongoose sticker and replace with an anti-scuff covering the whole face. I see a few people recommend using a hair-dryer to remove stickers, only issue is that the sticker is somewhat irregularly shaped and there would be a lot of exposed wood being subjected to a blast of hot air.  :o

Any suggestions?

Put the anti scuff over the stickers?

It's just going to be a pain making sure there's no trapped air due to the irregular shape. The other worry is that as the entire face of the bat is likely to be regularly used two layers will really affect performance.

i dont think two layers of 0.05mm thick vinyl is going to effect its performance by any massive measure!

The bats that the Mongoose pros are using have the sticker over the anti-scuff, doing it the other way won't make a difference.

If it's performance you want then try a spring-loaded Mongoose with no stickers, no scuff sheet, no binding on the handle, 8 grips and a toe guard

GM also do this so you cannot remove the scuff sheet without losing the stickers. Is this a marketing tactic to make sure people go to them for refurbs? Rather than going to others who could sand around stickers
