Bat Advice Needed
« on: November 07, 2010, 11:10:11 PM »

Got a team mate whose bat is terminal (3 inch crack running up from the toe) and he hasn't found a suitable replacement in the last 3 years to replace it. He's not fussed about names, grains etc but more about pickup and feel. His bat is 2'9 and has a low middle - think it's a GN Powerbow. Anyone know of similar profile bats from other makers?

I think he's after something cheap (sub £100) and probably from a shop where he can play with it. However, if anyone has suitable I can always pass on details when I see him at nets Wednesday.

Sorry it's a longbow, I think you'd call this terminal :-) :-

When the tape:wood ratio is more in favour of the tape yes it's time to renew ;)

If your mate wants to get rid of it, I would happily take it off your hands. Could do with a project!

Good eyesite! - I've cleaned it up a bit for him to use at nets but told him it's just a matter of time.

He's pretty attached to this wreck, he even got a 30 ball 100 with it last year!. I shudder to think what he might of done if the toe hadn't been falling off. Anyone know of similar profile bats to the Longbow?. I thought the GM Hero has a similar look.

Profile looks similar to a GM Apex

I agree with Colesy. I also found the profile to be quite similar to GM Apex's.
