Yeh saw that imagine how many runs he would have got if hed been using the new one rather than repairing the old one.

Bet England wished he'd carried on using the old one

True dat!! The little master to walk out with a 3lb cumberland sausage and still have the fielders chasing leather all day. He is without a doubt the Greatest batsmen of the modern era.

The new one sure seemed to fly.  some lovely straight sixez sweetly struck.

Maybe shows how much the game is in the head that carried on using a bat that he had total confidence in rather than, a newer performing bat.

Sure is a master of his art.

Tbh in past year has converted me I do think he is the greatest to ever play the game as the don had the high avg but not over the length of career that sachin has

Whats impressive is his love of the game still after this time.  Great that he seems to play with a smile on his face.

For all the enjoyment we get from discussing his bats the truth is he is just very very good. Give his bat to a tailender and he will still be a tailender.

Greatest batsman I've ever seen by quite some way.

Exactly, he could go into the media, business etc and make just as much money but he is clearly doing it for the love.

I kind of hope he retires after the world cup so he can go out at the very top. It would be sad to see him have a poor 12/18 months and retire because he'd lost it.
