Jeet I would go with a very similar side to you, I would like to seem Steve Smith in the ODI, he isn't a Test player,
I thinks it's about Australia gave the young players a decent go, and like Jeet that side seems good IMO

I'm not selector, mores the pity :( , but picking form players usually works lol.

Other guys like Ferguson, McDonald etc wouldn't be far off.

Australia needs to pick a youthful side and develop it for the future.

Short term pains, long term gains!

Like that side Jeet!!

Problem is your level of intelligence and forward thinking in coming up with that side is not something the Australian Selectors possess in abundance particularly Andrew Hillditch!!!

I'd be tempted to play Ferguson over Khawaja

Bring in Dave Warner to do a Sehwag job.

He's shocking. He's a wild slogger.

Haddin gets in on form and class.

You could also say Sehwag is a wild slogger watching him play 20/20. Even the likes of Afridi done ok in tests with the field up

Wild slogger don't maul guys like Warne, McGrath, Steyn etc or score 300 x 2.

Anyway not to get side lined, Warner has played 4 F/C games, done nothing. He's technically similar to Phillip Hughes, so he wouldn't last very long.

Seems like Peter George has faded away after that India series. I thought he looked alright to be honest, he got Tendulkar out, albeit 200 runs later...
I'd like to see White or Ferguson brought into their side for the last test but cant see it happening. Seems their selection panel is very stubborn and probably wont alter the side too much.
Marsh would be a good option for the opening role ahead of Hughes. I'd prefer to see Jaques as he was in sublime form a few years ago against Sri lanka. Where is he now!?

Jaques has back surgery and hasn't recovered his form since. Rather sad really, he was a fantastic player when in full flow.

Why use Phil Hughes as an example when he scored two centuries in a test against steyn

If you're a big Hughes fan, then sorry if I offended you, but Hughes has done nothing since that series vs SA. Steyn and co where under cooked in that series.

Since then Freddie and Harmo found out Hughes.

Hughes will be a good player when he sorts out his technique... Getting back on topic, there has not been any real outstanding run scorer in the sheffield shield this year so far which is a big problem for Aus

George isn't quick enough, if he could bowl 90 mph he would be decent in test

The technically issues iron themselves out over time, but he doesn't seem to had a decent leg-side game atm, so unless it's in his zone(outside off stump) he struggles to rotate strike and puts too much pressure on himself.

He does have ability, otherwise every 21 yo would be hitting twin tons in their 2nd Test lol
