Scuff sheets?

Just a quick one who here uses them or doesn't as some people don't believe in them others swear by them thoughts?

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.

I use them. I keep them on for the life of the bat if I do, as we often play in rain, so then muddy pitches, don't like mud or moisture on/in my bat! :)

Always use them. Never really tried a hammer edge. Can't believe there much difference though? Normally give the face a wipe after games to keep my bat looking new too!

Hammer edges are slightly cloudy, compared to the helicopter (I think they're called that) scuffs. Though I sell hammer edges, I am wretched at putting them on a bat, and the 2 scuffs I have on my bats are helicopter scuffs hehe

Ahh right. Any difference in protection they offer the bat?

Not really, I think the clear helicopter scuffs are slightly more durable, but Dave (procricket) is your man, as he knows a lot about Scuff Sheets, drop him a PM and he'd be able to explain much better than I can lol :)

The helicopter scuff sheets are thicker (twice as thick as others) and dont crack when they dry out

helicopter ones are the expensive ones, i dont think thats what you have johan, i think you have regular clear scuff sheets...

hammer edges i ifnd are better than regular scuff sheets, but apparently these helicopter gels ones are decent. but at £8 plus a go they should be!!

Oh right my bad. Maybe I just have normal ones. I was trying to feel special. Cheers Sam :| I did put a hammer edge on the McLean I sold a while back though, and they do seem very protective..

yeah chopper ones, or the new chopper ones are expensive but are meant to be great, however the hammer edges do the job so i cant see myself paying any more for a scuff sheet!
