From left to right

1.SS TON PLAIN GRADE 1 2lb 6oz

Bought this after Christmas last season off Asad and it has not failed to deliver.

Balanced and pick up is quality in terms of league it is up there with the Laver and not far of the Chase but in terms of value for money it has to be the best bat....

2..CHASE CUSTOM BAT "THE BATMAKERS OWN" 2LB 9OZ

Well were do i begin with this beauty for looks not many can match it in my collection and in terms of pick up and performance it is right up there..

3..LAVER WOOD PRIVATE PIN

Well this is nearly for the graveyard of bats it has had a new shoulder and with another transplant it will have another..
Sam Peplow borrowed this last season and he will agree it up there with any bat in terms of performance and pick up shame it nearing the end of it life....

Some bats sadly get closer than others this has been my number 1 bat of all time

In the very long term maybe i need a lot more days at a workshop which i can get but my forte is more soft's and sales side of things and possibly clothing but i like tinkering with bats i know there not great but the finish on it in better pictures is not too bad..

I have taken a little to much off the back near the splice and it is almost flat but then again you do not hit the ball there...

I expect criticisim to be honest mate but i will keep trying and learning all i can.

I enjoy making/recking clefts and that all that matter to me there no business model yet but i might in the future buy into a brand

very L&W esque top half on the splice area making it almost flat.....this must be where they loose the wood to bring the weight down

the top 3 bats are ok what i want to know is what people think of the shape i did on the back of this bat...

used a no5 travisher looking at flattening the edges towards the bottom.

Would people like the shape

The bat in the background is a experiment it was a millenium but i have added a few experiments...

dave in my hubble and inexpert opinion the edges need to be made sharper rather than rounded on the back of the bat as most branded bats have, may help to improve the appearance by sharpening up the fin of the spine as well.

Good progress though!

Not the best pictures but the fin is razor sharp mate i agree about the edges that the real drama iam having there more sharper than they look but not sharp enough

question how do you get them sharp
