R Ashwin goes for $850 k to Chennai, he was the one player CSK would've paid anything for!

With regards to Gambhir, he went for $2m as he's the next Indian captain.

Availability a bit problem for the English apparently. Lots of average Indian players getting rich quick!

Key part of IPL is the word Indian. Doesn't matter if the Indian players aren't top draw, without them, theres no IPL.

Most teams want an Indian spinner, so their overseas players can be batsmen or fast bowlers.
