Spikes - Adidas V Asics

Which do you think would be the better boot...

Asics Gel Gully 2
http://www.shop.edirectory.co.uk/aswani_cricket/mia/d/asics+gel+gully+2+cricket+shoes/pid/12057461

Adidas 22yd

Never bought Asics before, and have some Adidas now but wondering if the Asics could be a batter shout?

I have the Asics Strike Rate boots from last season and they are extremely comfortable. Wore them for 5 matches in 10 days without blistering.

I have the gel gully 2 shoes and like them, I think they are pretty good - they are only £45 at Sports Direct

There are so many to choose from with Asics but think the Gully 2 are the most suited for me

I'm keeping as well so would like full spiked really. Thanks gents

I wear the Asics with full spikes - I don't keep though, you just have to add in the spikes at the back when you get them

As much as I detest lining the pockets of Mike Ashley, £45 does seem the best I can find for them

I have used Puma, Adidas, Nike and Asics.

Asics used - the ones in the Aussie color
Nikes used the top of the range model

(sorry cannot recollec the names)

I would recommend Asics followed by Nike. The Asics are more snugg fit, lighter and flexible. The Nike's are slightly heavier (due to the material they use) and nor as flexible as Asics. The fitting on the top ens Nike's is very good.

IMO, comfort-wise Asics are better though Nike are not far away.

If you play on slightly damp wickets or in an area where you have a lot of due in the outfiled Nike are better as they have leather upper.

I end up using the Asics for batting and Nike for bowling

Can't seem to see a difference between them and the Gully 2's but £40 sounds about right from prodirect. I think either will suit me fine, prefer to keep in full spikes as well, can always take the back lot off for batting should I need to
