5 ODIs would be enough I reckon!
After the warm up matches, Tests and T20 matches, is it any wonder England have 5/6 players injured!??
That kind of indicates that it is just too hard on the body to play that much cricket with little rest in between.

The perfect tour, IMO, would be 3 Tests, 3 ODIs and 3 T20s. But in the more historic series additional Tests could be added. After an epic 5 Test series, no one wants 7 ODIs.

the TV ratings and crowd attendence would prove the the opposite. You have to remember in Aus, 95% of the home crowd would be within 3 hours drive of the stadium. Its pretty unfair to deny a major city the chance to see an awesome match between Aus and UK, though 5 odi's would be better, you'd have to drop off a iconic match at either bellrieve, adelaide or the wacca.
