The Best Cricket Playing Shirt?
« on: January 30, 2011, 01:12:18 PM »

Hi all,

Our club is thinking of getting some new white playing shirts. We already have a suitable supplier who handmake to order, so was just wondering what you thoughts are on the best playing shirt from a manufacturer or county club.

Want to know reasons for your thoughts too! Also the main club colour is dark navy.

Thanks

Why do you say that, price wise? There are a few clubs around here who love them!?

Well we have the Canterbury shirts and they look amazing, but they just get pulled so easily, the velcro on gloves has really messed it up. Maybe Gareth can explain more as he has seen my shirts!

Lookup Samsan International in Bradford. They produce alot of the major brands clothing and you'll unlikely to find a quality item to this spec for the money.

This one is a high quality shirt, club logo embroidered, sublimated logo on each arm and chest. Name and number personalisation on the back. From what the guys told me this shirt is in production with a brand at the moment. I'm not going to say exactly what it cost as you'd have to discuss your spec with them but it's easily under £30 and I doubt you'll get a better price.

Excito shirts are possibly the best available.

We got 50 shirts for our club last season and they were so well received that  we had to order 60 more.

Prior to these we had GM ones and they were horrible and did not last long. And this was the reason why people were a bit apprehensive to buy the Excito shirts early on (as they thought if GM was crap then a lesser known brand like Excito could be worse), but when they saw the quality almost everyone went in for 2 shirts.

Excito gave a amazing price and the service was amazing.

If you want, I can introduce you to the owner and you can possibly benefit from the price we negotiated.

We are doing away with names this season, main reason is people not paying for their shirts!

We used Kukri for all out gear and the quality is very good.

We got the stuff cheap but I think the club subsidised a fair chunk of it.

£18 for a white shirt with some blue piping, lol! Hope those shirts are quality!

Seriously, what rough price did you get including embroidery, sublimation of logos, navy panels?

cricket haven are good prices, but the item is produced abroad from what I understand. It also get's expensive when you add personalisation and additional sponsor logos.

The shirt in the pics has 3 differently placed logos, embroidery, 2 personlisation items. Each one costs between £2-4 depending on who does your kit. I'd imagine this is sub £20 if it was just the badge, maybe even £15.
