Slazenger Ultimate V180 Wheelie / Aero Tour Bag
« on: February 17, 2011, 02:01:07 PM »

In my ongoing quest for a new bag, has anyone had a look at one of these in person? From what I can see, doesnt appear to have a main pocket, pocket for spikes etc. Shops round here carry poor choice lower end stuff so can't get to anywhere showing the premium stuff.

Have spoken to Mr Peplow about a Kook 1000, and a H4L, but worried that may be too big and wanted to see if there are any other recommendations.

Or am I daft for thinking that the Aero Tour will be OK? Need to get the following kit in there...

2-3 Bats
Helmet
Pads
Gloves x 2
Keeping Gloves & Pads
Protective wear
Spikes x 2
towels, clothes, general rubbish accumalted, balls

Any advice appreciated

Cheers

I've got the Slaz (only got it last weekend) & its pretty vast. Doesn't have one big pocket but the lower pocket goes up & behind the top one, if you see what I mean. Thats the one i put my pads in, though they also fit in one of the side pockets.

It also has some sort of mini drinks cooler - not sure how it works (like a cool box i think)

Like i said before its pretty big & only just fits in the back of my Ford focus.

I'll try & get some pics up later.

Nice one mate! Would really appreciate some pics of it, as lovely as it is living in the country, it's a pain in the (No Swearing Please) not to be able to pop in to see some decent stuff. If only I lived in Swindon, would go into Asad's new place.

So is it like a massive 'flap' then...

Its difficult to describe without pics tbh. There should be room for all your stuff certainly. I was drawn to the 3 batholder which is nice & neat.

Only concern I had looking at it mate was there doesn't seem to be a spikes pocket etc. Is there one internally?

Hard Coffin, the only way to truly protect kit, doubles as a bench too for matches.

I think I'll put my spikes in the top pocket on the front, though I'm not completely familiar with it myself as I've only used it once! There's a nice helmet sized pocket on the top next to the drinks slot thing.

I don't think I would be able to pull that off Mike, not without turning up to games complete with suit and pipe and comedy facial hair

Ease off, there is nothing wrong with going to the cricket in a three piece suit  :D

Absolutely not Buzz, agree with you there. I normally frequent the local ground with my Italian 3 button....oooh, suit you

Just don't think I shall go down the coffin route. Anyone have an Aero/Tour? Are they stupid big?
