  • If I only could bat....

I'd go with a solitaire specced at 2.8. That would get me a 2.12 that went as well as any of the others, given my limitations and I'd have £200 spare. And I could always get a spot of weight taken off.

I have a rule that I will never spend more than £200 on a bat (and even with what I've obtained so far, I've remained inside that rule by quite some way, except for the Instinct), so this keeps me well within that. To be frank, if I am spending more than that, I'd want to be speccing it entirely to my satisfaction. Only the Solitaire gives me half the chance of that (even if it doesn't always come out quite like it!) and it's about 1/3 of the price of all the others!

I would love to try a Laver, just to see what all the fuss is about! Everyone on here who has ones raves about them, so I would get one too see whether they live up to the talk!

For me, if the GM had of been a Luna profile I would have probably gone with that. But sticking with that list of bats, I'd go with the mongoose. I liked the ones I saw on my trip to hunts and really fancy trying one.

At this moment, I would go for a top range GN or GM.. Thats the only bats I have seen in real flesh.
This summer, i'm traveling to New Zealand, so if it could wait, I would go to the shop and buy one of there bats.

I'm with you on that!

None of the list particularly grab me due to being either the wrong shape or wrong price, but if I were pushed I'd go with the GM. The ones I've seen in the flesh recently seemed very nice.

Because I am a tight whotsit I would go up to the solitaire shop and pay my hundred notes and choose one - even if that meant I had to wait while some weight was taken off the bat.

I would pay around £150 give or take a bit for a bat, unless I was paying a bit extra for a special branded bat - which I would stretch to about £200 if I really had to.

Scat if it goes as well as the current one, happy with the profile and handle on it. Havant tried Salix yet but have used GM, GN, laver previously and enjoyed the experience :)
