i have both the d30 original l.e and the original l.e gloves , i prefer the original l.e gloves due to being sausage fingered also not as bulky as the d30 pads i went for the original l.es very light better looking then the d30 and not as exspenive .

Original Limited Edition, love the look of the gloves and pads look nice too! In pads I like last years D30 but this years are crap.

I have 2009 model Original Limited Edition pads and gloves, still thinking if its worth upgrading to 2011 model so I can have a complete matching set!

Edward, have GM changed the sizing of their pads?

In 2008/09 I was around 5ft 8/9 and wore a pair of your mens 909 pads fine. They were perfect for me and I loved them. However, I had a pair of your 2010 LE pads and had to get rid of them as they felt too big. And that was me a 6ft 1.

Has the mens sizing changed or thetop strap moved up.

CD's quite particular with looks, Ed. He doesn't like the Apex either for some reason!

Still using a pair of 2009 original LE gloves as they're so soft and comfy. Really like the armourtan leather palms as they haven't worn much at all so ill be keeping these for a little while yet  :D

LOL Haha Sami thanks :)

Edward to be honest I personally don't like the look of this year D30 last years looked much better in my opinion.

The LE's are perfect, have my eyes set on them!

Original Tehnik and D30 Original last years were lot better than current ones because the present one look much flatten out and it make them look wide

I agree but they are quality too! My friend has last years D30 and they are of impressive quality and mine are great too!

So quality is there.

Hi Liam - no we haven't particularly changed our sizing specs. Are you sure the LE's weren't OSM compared to Mens?

Kind regards

Yep, I agree with you on the catalogue and web illustrations of the d3O pads. However, these were pre-production and for production, additional vertical ribs were used which much improves the look and feel of the pads.

Quite right, outrageous prices.

For the 2011 season, all software costs from India skyrocketed for all brands.

Yeah I understand the reasoning behind it all. Ill just have to save some pennies :)

In my opinion, the Jack Daniels of cricket. And I bloody love JD mate ;)

On a side note - Edward, I didn't realise the Unicorn you represent looks after the darts as well! Amazing what google and Linkedin will tell you!

More of a single malt kind of a chap myself!

Yes, Unicorn actually owns GM - I trust you were watching the Premier League of Darts from Sheffield last night?

When I have MD after my name in company emails, I will start drinking single malt.

Not missed one yet this season. Suprised Aidy Lewis is having a nightmare, whilst Taylor seems to have remembered how to play the game

Edward may i ask a question please

Why do you not sell the same pads to the public as you do to the pro's is if for brand recognition as i understand there a advertising size your not allowed to break.

Thank you for your time Sir

Adrian certainly didn't turn up last night, but he's poised in 5th, so not so shabby. As for The Power, simply the Greatest There Has Ever Been.

Well done James, Barney & Gary last night too

well i see the side stripe i understand that your only allowed so much advertising on your pads in the first class list a professional arena.

Why not sell the same pads to the general public or is it to do with brand recognition Sir.

Sorry about the spelling writing..

I think I would rephrase the question "Why are the players not allowed to wear the magnificent designs that are made available to the public?"

We set out to design a coordinated range that we believe best suits the needs of the cricketer and the marketplace, and that then gets regulated by the powers that be.

Just the way it is, I guess!

The LE's were definitely Mens, I also tried on some of this years 909 D30 pads in Mens and it felt the same. I have also seen this with other brands

I thought I would drag this up - I have helped myself to a set of 2011 909 pads (£44) and Original gloves (£40) in the sale - some pretty decent prices for this stuff about... :) got some free GM trackie bottoms with them too.

Just need to test out a GM thigh pad and I will be all set to go ;)

I paid £39 for the bag mid season off kickback sports and for the money it's pretty good, only used it about 6 or 7 times though so I wish I'd waited for this sale.

Still very tempted by the GM LE gloves but keep holding on to see if any other better offers like a end of season sale from H4L, redback or any of the other brands.

humm - I think they may have sold out of the gloves as I haven't had a confirmation email yet of the order and they are not on the website any more - it usually comes in a couple of minutes, but this has taken an hour or so already...  :(  :(

I did wonder why they had come back in stock after disappearing, almost looked like the sports direct website had gone back to how it was about 3 or 4 weeks ago as the d30 pads were back too. I wasn't sure about ordering anyway so I'll hang on and see if any other stuff comes up cheap. looking at previous years h4l, redback have had sales on so keeping my fingers crossed.

If no good offers I'll make my current softs last as theyre ok really, I'm just tempted by new stuff.

Here are the 909 pads (looking a bit odd as I have done up the straps tightly as part of the wearing in process. - the "top hat" is in proportion - the picture just looks odd because of the angle) and the orignial gloves. My new L.E. Gloves will be here today or more likely tomorrow...
