Well its pretty definate now!
Once again well done getting out at the right time!
-
Glad I've got my MMi3 and CoR3 safely at home as pieces of history!
-
I think the next mongoose bat should be called the phoenix... very confident the brand will return in some form or other.
unfortunately I don't have any inside info though.

Think the brand will die, but the technology survive.

Well we know they went into administration, however, the website is still selling bats, so I wonder if it is a pre-pack, as suggested by kingpair previously. A call to the Mongoose phone number confirms that they are still selling them.
-
So it is confirmed that it is 'The End' for Mongoose cricket?
-
No. The brand, designs and IP can be bought.
-
If they are still selling product as suggested then either the brand has been pre-packed or the administrator is trading the business in a "trading administration" whilst the buyer is sought.
If it was being traded by the administrator they would be oblidged to advertise the fact on the website etc so I would suggest it has been prepacked.
The SIP16 document should be released very shortly giving us more details of the prepack.

Wonder if Tresco is going to go back to GM one things for sure he will have to take a pay cut lol!!!!

some people owe me money im sure hate to be smug but told i was a idiot on this very forum for suggesting this around 12 months ago

5 months ago, and no-one took your offer up as far as I'm aware. Ever wondered why I didn't???
-
no mate i wish you all the luck in whatever your doing mate....
Any chance of the ITIAS uprising again bud
-
No. Too many small brands, doing the same thing buying bats from the same places. Industry doesn't need another boring company.

It is a real shame, but it was clear from day one that it would either me a massive success or a massive failure. Radical brands in whichever field rarely tend to just tick over.
Good luck to those involved.

Maybe you should be a softs specialist like Woodford used to be?
You obviously had an eye for them, the Itias gloves I've got are superb.
-
Softs requires the most startup capital and time designing, if I could find a way to custom make them and do something differently I'd consider it. But another off the shelf brand producing classical looking products isn't what the market requires.
-
so what do you think the market needs at the moment???
-
Like he'd tell us even if he knew ;)
-
Good to see Tresco using the cor3 still in the T20.

Was wondering where he would go also....

I still think there's room for a Mongoose style brand, something exciting about it, something which sparks debate and interest. A company coming up with interesting marketing strategies, not just sponsoring players whilst bringing interesting products to the fore.
-
Off topic slightly, what are you doing with yourself now Tom?

Cheers Tom, do you think someone will try to keep Mongoose alive????
-
Mongoose are still selling online via their new owners.
-

Yes. There's value in the brand.
-

Not much, developing a new forum/blog/news site at the moment and writing a book. Whilst looking for a job in sports/fashion.
-
is that a new cricket forum???
-
Yes. Although I'm not sure how much I can say on here about it...
-
Tom does this new forum even exist or are you telling porkies, feel free to link if you have actually made a forum that is

Domain will be cricketinsight.co.uk - just in the process of setting up. Hoping to use a few contacts to get some exclusives. Main idea behind the forum is taking it back to how CBF was when I first set it up, where it's not run by the advertisers. It's run for the members.
One question will there be more cricket talk i like the in the bag section some right good contents there.

right who can get me a GN e41 then WOWZERS

Having seen one with our Aussie Pro, I can say possibly Dave's new bat is better than the £400 e41. Flatter face, drier willow to give 41mm edges (e41)
-
i might have to have a little chat with dave then ;)
-
I want them spikes end of

This is a bit surreal, using one forum to post about threads in another. You can post on the new site you know!
