Your excel picks up well for 2'12, though I couldn't see much difference in profile compared to mine or am I blind?

It's a compression crack due to a yorkers from winter nets, I have fixed it but the tape is just there as a precaution.

both have aprox 35mm edges both are 2.9 one is just over 2.9 other one is just under 2.10

both have 8-9 grains.

they go well and are finished lovely but im not 100% sure i did the right thing and gone for a light bat lol

a lighter bat makes we want to play on the floor tho rather than smash everything out the ground

Same with me. I normally use a Slazenger V600 that is a 2lb 6oz bat, and my Dad gave me his Stuart Surridge Jumbo - the original one - and it's an absolute beast. It's probably a 3lb bat, might be more, never weighed it. But whenever I use it in the nets for some reason I feel the urge to smash things about... :D

Regarding the H4L bat though, that's the one I'm tempted at buying. Looks a very nice bat, though I am also considering the blue one, though the yellow one looks to have a profile that would suit me better. Nice bat.

Post by: uknsaunders on September 04, 2011, 09:20:51 PM: Had a look at Simmys 2 bats today. I don't think the pictures do them justice, look much nicer in the flesh. Profile wise, when I stacked it against my 666, it certainly had a lower middle. Not so much in edge profile but the spine height was higher at the bottom but not as high going up the bat in comparison to my 666. It's has a little more concaving but not as much as I see on most bats. The pickup didn't feel great but Simmy partly cured that with a thick spiral grip - felt better balanced.

Didn't get to see much of it in action, Simmy hit a six early on and then changed bat as the oppo seemed be using a concrete ball (which we got changed later on).

He did however hit the roof of the pavilion to finish the game. Funny as the guy at gully was chirping him to finish the game with a six over the pavilion :-)
