made that mistake at Newton Hill. Hacked off with needlessly getting run out so kicked my £100 Ayrtek off the pitch, instead of chucking my £30 adidas bargain bat. Fool :(

I love this profile compared to the Monster. Pardon my ignorance but is the thick toe ideal for someone who drives the ball well or for is it for someone who hits over the top?

i dont think this has a thick toe? my excel monster is alot bigger!

i drive the ball well but i drive on the up lol only used it for one net session went ok.

a lighter bat makes we want to play on the floor tho rather than smash everything out the ground

Don't worry Simmy, when I play with it Sunday I'll tell you how good the pickup is :-) Concaving doesn't look as bad as my kippax, I'll bring it along for comparison since it's around 2'9.

Same with me. I normally use a Slazenger V600 that is a 2lb 6oz bat, and my Dad gave me his Stuart Surridge Jumbo - the original one - and it's an absolute beast. It's probably a 3lb bat, might be more, never weighed it. But whenever I use it in the nets for some reason I feel the urge to smash things about...  :D

Regarding the H4L bat though, that's the one I'm tempted at buying. Looks a very nice bat, though I am also considering the blue one, though the yellow one looks to have a profile that would suit me better. Nice bat.

Think I'm the only person to get a small Hattori. Those look amazing for the weight. Wish I'd been as lucky.
