Picked up GM Original LE Duplex bag and got home and realized that there is not even a single pocket where you can keep like of cellphones, keys etc etc etc
:O :pissed:
-
I found that myself - was very annoyed! I'm going to have to use my wash bag in one of the three compartments! Not ideal....
-
That's part of the reason I swapped mine a couple of days later.
-
I've got the easi load wheelie (one below the duplex) and it's the same. Bit annoying but I just use a wash bag in one of the pockets.
Have you tried to stand yours up yet, I'm not convinced it's very steady so I've taken the bamboo cane things and the plastic end sections out so it fits better in my car.
Since I only paid about £40 off kickback a couple of months ago I'm still quite pleased as it's a good looking bag and fits all my kit in.
-
I would never put my stuff in the obvious little pocket where every thief will look!

Agreed! My wallet, phone and keys go straight behind the bar as soon as I get to the ground :D

So for anyone who knows, the drinks are on you!!! :D
-
I leave my valuables in the car and then hide my keys in my bag
-
If we are at dodgy ground, maybe 3/4 times a year the. Stuff gets hidden in my batting gloves!

I haven't used it yet, got it yesterday and was playing the whole day at home. However, I did put my kit to see how it fits etc and it was very good actually, it did stand up properly.
Hmm I though Bamboo canes were just there for packaging, I literally threw them in garage will go home and see it again lol.
Fair enough, I'm quite because I paid £57 for it and whereas if I get it from UK I would had to pay £75 + £50 +customs so not sure how but I got it very cheap locally in Canada

Make sense Leo but there should be atleast one pocket where you can put little bits and bobs.

If it's similar to mine the two canes will slot into channels on the outside of the bag at the top. There are two bits of material that cover these slots and seal with velcro. Just open them up and slide in the canes and it'll hold the bag more upright and make it easier to get stuff in and out, probably also helps it stand up.
The duplex is probably more solid thn mine due to the internal dividers so will probably stand up better anyway.
They're good bags and seem well made, could just do with some internal pockets

Correct?
That canes part make sense actually because when I was playing around with the bat yesterday I noiticed that it was not standing firm from that area will try that when I go home :D
Thanks for that advice fella :)

Yep that's the one I've got. I nearly chucked the canes out too but figured they must have been in there for a reason.
Should make it stand up a bit better and the canes seem to be stronger than they look.
-
Man you're great help really! You made me happy today seriously! I inserted those canes and the bag looks much better now because its not falling down/squeezing etc and it make it look much better and make it firm. Even when standingg up it makes so much difference now, overall these canes make a lot of difference. Exactly they quite strong than they look.
LoL I'm a bit worried for my team mates who also bought this bag, I know one guy has started to use the bag without canes and I know for sure he doesn't know what they are for :(
-
No side pockets and no extendable handle is a bit silly though, plus the bat cave was a bit weird so I swapped it for my GN Legend bag which is fantastic :D

No problem mate happy to help, like I said I nearly chucked the canes away too. I reckon an ordinary garden cane might do the trick too if your mate has chucked the original. Only thing is I think he'd need to be careful as if it snapped it might be a pain to get it out again.
I reckon I'd have been tempted to swap for a different bag (the Gray nicolls ones look good) but I was happy with the price and couldn't be bothered to return it as I bought over the Internet.
-
Removing the canes never even crossed my mind, very odd!
-
I reckon it depends on where you got the bag from, mine was delivered with the canes inside the bag and nothing to tell you to slot them in. I jut figured they must have been there for a reason.
-
Ah that makes sense, mine had the canes ready in position and just assumed that was standard
-
i keep my wallet in my pocket when batting and wicketkeeping along with my packet of sweets
