Title: Kookaburra CCX Players Editon Batting Gloves
Post by: langer17 on October 21, 2011, 01:36:35 PM
Pro version of the CCX gloves. I've wanting a pair for ages but thought only pro's could get them, but just through a random search of 'cricket gloves' through ebay, I came across thse and as soon as I saw them, I wanted them, so I ordered a pair today. Very nice price too, cost me AUD$78, which is very nice.

Their from lorimers, but you can only order them through their ebay page. This is the first and only store I have ever seen these at.

I'm happy that I'll finally get a pair and thought I'd share with you guys as you may want some too.

Over here the top Kookaburra glove prices are (All in $AUD)

Kahuna Players - $145
Blade - $129
CCX 900 - $110
Rogue - $99

So these are cheaper than all of those.

Needless to say, I'm super happy and can't wait to get them.

Thank you for sharing this. I was searching for deals on CCX900 gloves but didn't spot these on ebay because they are not listed with "900" in the title.

I have ordered a pair too. Can recommend Lorimers as a seller.

Recieved gloves this morning, overall very happy, they look very good and have a high quality of finishing and stitching. They are very comfortable as they are pittards although i think they are slightly smaller than normal mens size and i wouldnt expect to get more than a season out of them as i think there made for comfort rather than longevity.  They have a very high level of protection but there is still a slight pulling on the finger tips when gripping the bat probably because they are new.  I was in two minds between these and the puma iradiums 5000 but for £40 i would recommend these to anyone, hope this helps.

Thanks for that. Think i might invest, hopefully they are not too small though.....

Received mine in 3 days. Certainly a unique model and different to the CCX 900 gloves (judging from brochure pictures). Absence of some branding. Pittards leather palms are good quality, soft and extensive, there is more leather area than the CCX 900 and it is a different specification of leather. Mine had "Joe Denly" crossed out on the bag. Yes, they may be slightly smaller than Mens size, I can compare over the weekend as I have Kahuna gloves in both Mens (600) and Small Mens (1000).

Good value at GBP 40. If you have a CCX bat then recommended. These must be the best new matching RH gloves available and CCX range will disappear shortly, if not already.

There are 8 pairs remaining as I write.

Alan i would be very grateful to hear about the sizing, as if they are smaller than Normal mens i dont think they would fit me...

Now the comparison with a pair of 2010 model Kahuna 1000 gloves in size Small Mens.

The CCX gloves are pretty much the same size as the K1000 Small Mens gloves.

I haven't received mine yet (It has only been a week so far, and living in Australia it usually takes around 2 weeks total for things to arrive from the UK), but from looking at the pictures they look very lush. I've got smallish hands and even with inners, I always have some room in mens gloves, so the sizing will be good for me. In the description on the page it says 'Pro Fit', so maybe that means they are a tighter fitting glove. They look so good, that I ordered another pair before my first pair has even arrived yet, lol :-P

Normal sized lush mens gloves? And now gorgeous gloves in left hand as well?
Curse me right handed oversized paws!!!  :(

Received my first pair today and they are fantastic. They are deffinately smaller than a regular Mens glove, so I would assume that they are Small Mens, which is perfect for me as Mens gloves are always a bit too big for me (mainly the width) and a bit in the fingers, whereas these are perfect as my fingers are right at the point and the sides hug my hands. They are very tight atm, but they will loosen up as I use them. Even though they are tight, they are actually pretty flexible, probably the most flexible sausage finger glove I've seen. Very pleased :D

I think the time ran out, but there were still 2 pairs availiable, so they may put them back up.

I asked them about whether the other 2 pairs were going to be relisted but they said "no only what is listed".

So presumably not :(

the listing was ended early with the reaosn, item no longer available, which probably means the 2 pairs were sold via another means..

The model is a couple of years old but they are great, great gloves. Got a mate a pair in LH and year or so ago and they're fantastic. They were player editions, not RP's though.
