Are these both G1 or G1+ bats? The one with the Pyro stickers has very nice grains. :)

both clefts were supplied as g1's. both perform well. the demo profile is a grade 1 on looks and performance. the LE profile is g1 on performance and prob g2 on looks as there are a couple of small blemishes on the face

Ah right, that makes sense. :) I like the look of the grains on the demo bat, but if I had a choice between these two, I would take the LE. It looks like there is less concaving and a lot more wood. Shame I have already spent too much on gear this year, otherwise I would have considered the LE. :( Will you be releasing new profiles for next year? Maybe you could post a little poll about what kind of new profile forum members would like to see from Red Ink. :D

There probably will be a new profile next year and a poll on here did cross my mind. Any feedback is always appreciated. As Ive been working on the pads and glove designs Ive not really thought much about any new profiles.

Love the LE Profile mate, to be honest wasn't a big fan of shape like that in past but then purchased a H4L demo profile with similar shape and it just my world. Your LE is very similar, could it be done with higher spine and minimal concaving, still keeping the weight around 2.10-2.11?

i guess a little bit of weight adjustment and i cant see why not. may need some very minimal concaving to bring it in in that weight

Having spent the past few days knocking some Red Ink bats in, I can certainly testify to their quality.  They are very nicely made, good stickers, excellent straight grains, and they are pinging and rebounding very well of the mallet too.  They also pick up beautifully, especially the Limited Edition.

Great work with these, John - I thought the prices you'd listed were trade prices to begin with!  ;) We've paid certain manufacturers more money for worse bats in my opinion...

Best of luck with it all, and yes - certainly an endorsement from IJC!  :)

Thanks Paul,

nice to receive such excellent feedback and im glad you enjoyed knocking them in. i think i may have to get an endorsed by IJC tag as the strap line to the Red Ink section.

Haha, I'll take that as a compliment, John! But such endorsement shouldn't be necessary - the bats speak for themselves.  Quite keen to have a proper test drive with one now!  :D

Got delivery of the LE (it's for a team mate who is unaware that he will be getting it) and it looks superb and picks up beautifully. Great piece of work by John and brilliant service so big thanks. Bats are very personal, but for many a year the guy in question has just used what happened to be spare in the kit bag, so we took a bit of a gamble. He does all the admin, all the running around, including giving players lifts to matches. Without him we wouldn't have a team - in actual fact we wouldn't even have a ground to play on. He asks for not so much as a penny in return. So a whip round was organised at very short notice to get him a bat as a thank you, and he will be getting a surprise pre-game tomorrow.

How did he like bat? Sounds like you're part of a very generous club.

He is delighted with it. I don't think we are a generous club. The guy has been going the extra yard for us for many a year and it was way past time that his efforts were recognised. I'd like to add that everyone put their hands in their pockets willingly - didn't have to be asked twice.
