Title: Kruger Van Wyk
Post by: potzy248 on August 23, 2012, 10:36:58 PM
Surely Brendan McCullum must be told to put the gloves back on. Van Wyk cannot be our best keeper, its embarrassing!

Yeah man its sad as Van Wyk is not bad but not McCullum but who else do we have Watling,Derek de Boorder,Watling Young,Hopkins choose one or tell McCullum to bat at 5 or 6 and keep.

As I said on another thread, McCullum is a world class keeper-batsman but a relatively limited selection as a pure batsman.

I wonder whether they will go to Ronchi as soona s he is qualified.

Yeah good find came over late last season , Wellington as a whole are performing better than the last couple of years with Woakes ,Ryder and Ronchi leading them they are now a better team.

Southee and Gareth Andrews both having decent matches at the moment, anyone know why Woakes isn't playing, hope he's not injured again.

What will the reaction be from the Aussies? Or wasn't he quite good enough anyway to hold down a regular place?

He did well when called apron in odi for Australia

Think he like prior his keeping needs work to be at the top level

Better keeper than haddin in my,opinion just not,as,good as,wade,

For me Hartley is the best keeper in Australia

Ronchi is a,class, act hope he gets a go

I think Ryder will make his int comeback vs england and ronchi who is eligable for NZ in January and i think he is in for test matches not sure about the shorter forms of the game .

he was sort of floating around the back of the list of candidates to shadow Haddin, but then Paine and Wade came on the scene and he realised he was not going to make it...

Wade looks to be your man for years to come, a proper player.

I rate Tim Paine, if he can sort his fingers he will come through pretty quickly!

Wade is a very average keeper.

He's ok standing back to the quicks, but still drops a few clungers.

He's terrible standing up to Lyon.

Paine is a brilliant keeper. Hartley is still the best gloveman in Australia.
