The two brands that I have been looking at is Laver and Wood and H4L. Advice would be greatly appreciated on these two brands or on any others.
I'm an all-rounder I bat around 6-7.
-
Need to think what your after mate with regards to style of play / wicket types and therefore the profile / weight you need. Have a look round at the different threads for both brands and the reviews / pictures as a few pointers.
Welcome to the forum!

Both companies can make a custom made bat to your specs.
Where are you based?
-
Based in the Midlands.

Depends where in midlands Andy @SAF bats is in Oxfordshire batmaker who makes lots of great bats. I love the Hades.
-
Would you rate the hades higher than h4l pro bats and L&W Reserve bats
-
Never used a SAF or A L&W reserve. But all the H4L bats I've had have been unreal performance wise.
I sold some of them due to weight, and me thinking I could use bigger bats than I could. Kept the 2'9 hattori and it's absolutely perfect for me.

I've sold a Laver Reserve and an H4L made for a pro, and kept a Hades. Yes, although i haven't tried a tempo...

Cheers, so at the moment hades is the best bat in your opinion for pressing and performance? (Excluding SCat maybe?)
-
Have a Hades getting it copied so I really rate Andy's bats. H4L look really nice but I have never used so I can't comment.

It's one of the best for me due to balance and shape, given the way I play. If you aren't a front foot player, it's very possible it's not the best for you. In terms of pressing? Well Andy does tend to press bats pretty well, and so do Matt, James and others, so I wouldn't say it's the best for that. Performance, my Hades is one of my best bats for performance, but as I said earlier, that's due to shape and balance, and less to do with off the shelfness. I went up to Andy's and he made and balanced it with me there in the workshop, so it should be just about perfect!
You wouldn't be going wrong with either a Laver or a H4L though, as plenty of people on here will tell you.

Based in the Midlands.
Hawk are in the area ... and Vsports
Hawk bats are pretty spectacular , especially my latest bat, performs like a cannon and a featherlight pickup , took about 4 net sessions to open up but they have a reputation of lasting. I would pop into their workshop and have a look around, Theyre really nice people and wont mind you looking around even if you dont buy anything :D

Karan, never heard of a bat taking just 4 sessions to open up!
I'd probably say it took you 4 nets to get used to the new shape and the best is yet to come!

That'll be great thanks :)

What's your budget too?
-
350
-
I've just taken delivery of two H4L bats.
A Tempo and a Hellfire (stickered as an Excell)
Both are exceptional and very different.
For your budget you could buy 2 bats, and you probably should.
You don't need to spend £350 on a bat.
Drop Matt a line (H4L), he's very helpful.
If you want something no-one has mentioned, try a Warsop. I love them and have used them all my life.

What is the different from h4l pro Bats and their grade 2 bats
-

All the part mades I've bought off Matt have been stonkers. Even the ugly grade 3's. A bat I made to lend out to people goes as well, if not better than a G1 i have, yet it's "only" a G3!

A small blemish.
I've a Devil grade Tempo. It's got 11 grains, 1 1/ inches of heartwood and without a small blemish on the back near the shoulder, it would be a G1/Pro grade.
It's the look.
(http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o706/fastedd1e/DSCF1985_zps33549342.jpg) Without a blemish, that's G1/Pro
(http://i1339.photobucket.com/albums/o706/fastedd1e/DSCF1992_zps1c881c36.jpg) This blemish reduces the price, but not the performance.
-
Is this a grade 2 ?
-
lower because it has a not on the back corner.
grades dont mean poo tho to do with performance
-
Is the tempo the best performing bat from h4l because of the gigantic profile
-
depends on what suits the bastmen best
-
dilscoop u are asking really silly questions..
there is not such thing as the best performing bat..
every batter is different, different shapes suit different batters!
if you go see andy from saf he can talk you through his theory or watch his videos he will be able to make u something perfect for ur game

Matt is proper podshaver [bat maker], he makes excellent bats throughout all of his range and even does bespoke customs so all bases covered!
