needing a new bag, been using a old football one and its not even big enough for my bat.
so im looking to get a new one but thought I'd ask what everyone else used, and what is recommended and what is poor.
So far im looking at the Kook Pro Players:
http://uzisports.com/cricket-bags-brands/cricket-bags-kookaburra?product_id=776 (http://uzisports.com/cricket-bags-brands/cricket-bags-kookaburra?product_id=776)
And the H4L bag:
http://www.h4l.co.uk/index.php/cricket-bags/hell4leather-large-wheelie-bag.html (http://www.h4l.co.uk/index.php/cricket-bags/hell4leather-large-wheelie-bag.html)
will be using both brands gear this season so thought I'd start with them, anyone got either? or recommend better?

I had the top Kookaburra one from 2012 (which is basically the same as the top one this year) and it's really good. The bag I'm considering this year though is the top Aero wheelie one.
-
I used a Shamrock duffle, until both of the straps snapped at the same time. Currently using a Woodworm one until I get the Duffle sewn up. I think the Woodworm one is the top of the range one from a season ago!
-
Newbury tour fits everything just fine
-
Salix Pod Pro. perfect size for me.
-
M&H wheelie, and a SAF duffle!
-
I have the kookaburra pro 1000 bag which pro cricketer says its basically the same as the players and its great!
-
I bought the blue Aero wheelie a few years ago. Its a bit battered & bruised, but handled all my batting & keeping stuff easily.
Handy for small changing rooms as well....at least I think so, but team mates seldom agree! :)
-
Salix Pod Pro. perfect size for me.
Salix is the nuts, nicest bag ive had.
-
GN Pro Performance duffle and a GM 606. Two bags just big enough to get what you need.

I've used a few bags over the years, Hunts County, Slazenger, GN, Kookaburra - none as well made as this one. Typical Salix quality.
-
GM original LE easi load wheelie and GM duffle - both ok but not as good as the salix pod pro by the sounds of it.
-
I've got the Ayrtek wheelie. Good bag, fits all my gear including keeping kit. Only slight negative is it could stand up a bit better
-
ive got an underarmour over the shoulder bag its canny but abit small for what i need, like the look of that h4l one. I'll deffo be getting something bigger for this season
-
Year on year I'm thinking I'm due a new bag. Then I always keep using my single compartment Kookaburra Bubble that's over ten years old! Can't bring myself to part with it...
-
M&H Double decker... Big enough for everything, and still room to put some of our colts in if they misbehave!

Wise move, cos if you stay on here for any length of time you'll end up with about 15 bats, six sets of pads, two dozen gloves - and a bag to put your bag in... :D

They're quite new. I think a couple of guys on here have used it.

Already building abit of a collection and have only been on here for a season! This forum is a nightmare for my bank balance!

I like the Willostix senior wheeled cricket and also this bag by Island cricket, seems good value for the money

Was going to be the Newbury bag but not sure i can be arsed to lug it about

Aero Stand Up bag - when you see my "what's in my kit bag" video you'll realise how much I dislike it! Need to convert to a Salix Pod Pro at the earliest opportunity...
-
Woodworm pro duffle - a massive cumbersome bag that makes you look like a total idiot when you don't score runs >:( . Not recommended :D .
-
The Kookaburra Pro Players - huge bag but absolute pain in small changing rooms.
-
Aero tour bag. I think it's a very good piece of kit.
-
Anyone used one of these? http://www.sportsdirect.com/slazenger-ultimate-wheelie-cricket-bag-850032 (http://www.sportsdirect.com/slazenger-ultimate-wheelie-cricket-bag-850032)
Seems too good to be true... which often means, it is.
-
Salix duffle for me although I am waiting to go and collect my Gray Nicolls Maverick bag from Paul at IJC so will give feedback on that when I get it.
-
I've just ordered the salix pod pro. Seem to have good reviews and is perfect size for me. :)
-
Just bought the Woodworm pro series mkII, which is a good bag for the price.

out of interest where did you order from? have been looking around for a decent price

I love mine. Loads of room for all my kit, it is big but I don't find it cumbersome and like the fact I can carry it on my shoulder. Much prefer it to a wheelie bag and takes up less room in the hanging room. I don't score runs either :D
-
Maverick, is that what you call your changing room after you have got out in a particularly sloppy fashion? Perhaps need to take the game less seriously?!? ;)
-
Haha, good old chunky thumbs on iPhone typo :o
-
I've got the Ayrtek Stand Up bag, went well for the first half a season. But in the season just gone the telescopic handle has broke and the zip on the helmet section has become faulty. I understand that on newer versions the handle and the zips have been improved?
Will probably look to replace this with a different bag before the start of the season
-
I use a very large Albion bag from a couple of seasons ago. Thinking of downsizing for next season.
-
Ive got the Salix Pod One Tri-Wheeled Cricket Bag and find it a dissapointment. Bat cave is not that well protected and it doesnt stand up very well.
-

Apologies for my intrusion; I got mine from ItsJustCricket, perhaps ask Paul.
-
I use a duck and run wheelie bag its nice and big and like the two internal padded bat pockets
-
Last year I was pulling my hair out looking for the perfect bag. I came to the conclusion that the Kook Pro was the way to go as I like everything to have its own place but never got round to buying one due to the limited amount of cricket I was able to play.
This year If I get the chance to play it will be a Nixon Duffel for everything batting & a small bag for everything else. :D

I have had a GN nitro stand up - shocking bag, it's ripped to pieces now. Also now living in London, I think it's going to be wise investing in a decent duffle/backpack bag as when we were travelling to the nets the other night, Paul and Scott were having trouble with their wheelies whilst I was quite happy with my neatly packed duffle. Will need something larger for match days though, as I struggled to my net kit in there.

Whilst I am using the GN Performance Pro Duffle now, I spent two years dragging my Salix Pod Pro around on the tube and DLR. It's just small enough to sit on in the open sections of the carriage while having enough space to get everything in.
-
I've. Got the kooks pro 800 bag, big as you need and very compartment-y :P

Haha no worries thanks for the advice
