Lovely looking bat sir what the cost of these bats for everybody
-
That bat truly is stunning, beautiful in the hands as well.
-
It sure is stunning ... you see the grains pretty straignt on the back of the bat too.
The price is £195. Weighed today at 1225g which is approx 2lb 11oz. On the shoulder it's marked 2lb 9.5oz. Now this could be the weight without grip and stickers, I'm not sure. It's been in a cold warehouse for 2 weeks so could have picked up a bit of moisture, but it's been wrapped up in its cosy FatSock, in Welsh red :)

Certainly didn't think it picked up 2'11 because I use 2'9 lol.
That sock is lovely, where's it from? ;)
-
No, it certainly doesn't pick as heavy, but I don't want to be accused of salesmanship :) That's why I haven't done the "ping" test. It is beautifully finished though ... I loved it as soon as I saw it
-
Oh, and this will give you a clue for the FatSock ... https://twitter.com/SoftPocket1

I completely agree with you, picks up lovely.
I didn't get a chance to hit it with a mallet or anything so I can't comment on the response either
-
That looks lovely.
-
good pic, good sock, good god!
-
Think ive fell in love.. looks spot on . too heavy for my puny arms though

For ensuring we are blessed with good English Willows :D
-
That was a beauty and for a low middled bat picked up well
Think it was lighter than 2lb11 so you must have a wet warehouse there
-
Finishing looks quite remarkable too! And to be honest the decals look quite good, better than I had thought so!
-
Finishing was something that was lacking before so has been improved dramatically with help of advice from a few friends but now up to scratch and on par with others
As we all get better with time if your open to learning which we are

It's only been in the warehouse for a couple of weeks, in its bat cover and in the office ... and we have very accurate digital scales. Can you ask Gary if the weight on the shoulder is before or after applying grip?
-
Ill check mate
I blame the soft pocket

Imagine it's 1.5oz lighter. If you're anywhere near us (South Wales), do come and have a look.

There is also that dinstinctive smell of linseed oil on it, which won't be reaching you in Canada, but you'll know what I mean. Decals are fairly simple, no chrome, no raised textured areas, but quite effective and noticeable from afar.
-
Looks stunning, really fell in love with those remarkable grains.

Definitely isn't the SoftPocket fault
-
Just to confirm the weight on shoulder is naked as easier then customer can add grips etc as required
-
like the decals. simple and shows the willow without hiding too much. bat is a beauty

These threads is 2 years old bud. Best to email Fat bats themselves to see if you can get one made.
-
As this thread is alive again, what happened to Fat Bats? They just seemed to vanish. I played against a bloke using one last year that was best described as big and pingy
-
aye, they seemed to be decent sticks...

I think he decided to leave the forum after some criticism from some members on here.

I can't quite remember the details, when the slagging matches start flying around on here I tend to swich off.
-
Looks as good as any top end bat out there but at a fraction of the price.
