Though I'd start a link for anyone who still has any retro cricket gloves/pads etc from the 80's-90's. All the main manufacturers are going retro once again so thought it might be interesting to see some pictures on here.
I'm going up in the loft later to do some electrics so I thought I'd bring down my old gear and get some photos. Pads are G&M Maestro xtralite, Maestro Gloves and also some Slazenger V500 test gloves. I'll see what else I find up there.

If you have any classic bats, add them to the Vintage Bats topic!

If anyone's got a pair of these pads floating around I'd love to see some pics!
Always wanted a pair of these.....

They look real, but are they?
They're not pads but gloves, so close enough.

I'm surprised there hasn't been anyone critiqueing the footwork yet... ;)
I've got some of the old Slazenger buckskin pads (with green trimming)...
-
Not sure anyone has got the 'plums' to critique Goochie! He'd smash yer face in!! :D
I'm sure I've got some buckskin DF's somewhere.... ???

Last time I was in solly sports he had some like this for sale. He had a big cage with older stuff in that he hasn't manage to sell.

I have some pictures somewhere of a G&M maestro and kookaburra bubble from this era so ill get them on the vintage bat section.

One of the senior players who comes to practice has these pads

oh dear - can you imagine getting a decent pace ball behind the unpadded knee?
-
Bring out the Dr WG skeletons! :D
-
Great find on the pads......they are a real collectors item. Probably the only pair left on the planet!
-
Those Goochie SS pads were pioneering at the time - proper marmite pads...
I always wanted the DF Magnum pads, gloves (green double finger) and pads combo, with the green piping - any pics of those would be good. Sadly had to make do with a DF Colt and canvas DF pads, not quite the same...

Here's the G&M stuff, the gloves were awesome until the palm finally let go but I've always liked square fingers ever since. Also the pads are the style worn by GM sponsored players around 1990 as Gatting had this type of pad on when Shane Warne bowled that gem of a first ball.
There's even a bit of claret on the front pad from wearing a short ball in he face after a miss timed pull shot. Ah the memory's! ;-)

The GM gloves always remind me of Steve Waugh
I think the colourways on both the GM and Slazenger gloves are far nicer than the more garish colours used today
-
I'd definitely be interested if GM did a retro range in these colour ways.
