Retro Cricket Gear
« on: January 28, 2013, 12:35:37 PM »

Though I'd start a link for anyone who still has any retro cricket gloves/pads etc from the 80's-90's. All the main manufacturers are going retro once again so thought it might be interesting to see some pictures on here.
I'm going up in the loft later to do some electrics so I thought I'd bring down my old gear and get some photos. Pads are G&M Maestro xtralite, Maestro Gloves and also some Slazenger V500 test gloves. I'll see what else I find up there.

If you have any classic bats, add them to the Vintage Bats topic!

Always wanted a pair of these.....

What about these?

They look real, but are they?

They're not pads but gloves, so close enough.

I'm surprised there hasn't been anyone critiqueing the footwork yet... ;)

I've got some of the old Slazenger buckskin pads (with green trimming)...

Great find on the pads......they are a real collectors item. Probably the only pair left on the planet!

Those Goochie SS pads were pioneering at the time - proper marmite pads...

I always wanted the DF Magnum pads, gloves (green double finger) and pads combo, with the green piping - any pics of those would be good.  Sadly had to make do with a DF Colt and canvas DF pads, not quite the same...
