HAve noticed this morning that, although I am signed in to the forum and can view all threads and posts, I can only see 4 buttons along the top of the page (I am viewing on my PC) The buttons I can see are Home, Help, Login and Register. So I have lost the Messages, Profile and a few others?? Weird!
Have refreshed page, clicked the login button and logged in again but to no avail? Is this a problem my end or with the forum?
Thanks fellas....... :)
Seems to have sorted itself now.....v weird..... ???
-
That happened to me a couple of weeks ago, it eventually went away though, so I figured it was just a glitch.
Probably just wait it out and eventually when you log in it hopefully should be back to normal.
-
I was getting some whopping DNS fail messages last week.
-
It seems to have sorted itself out now but it's odd!

Exactly the same for me as well.
-
Oh! From the title, this thread looked much more promising!
-
That generally happens to me the very first time I open up CBF, I presumed it was something to do with the saved password in IE. All I do is click the "home" button to refresh the page and I'm logged in.
-
It's something to do with cookies on your browser. When you set your profile to never logout it will store it in a cookie. If something goes a little screwy with your browser cache/stored 'stuff' then you may have problems.

Rather than starting a new topic,
I'm having a slight issue, where I cannot preview any posts - or I cannot 'quote' any post, it brings up a green box saying it's loading - but nothing happens. I'm currently using Firefox is that has any bearing on it.
-
I am also having the same issue with Firefox not allowing me to quote
-
The forum has become a rubbish place just in general recently!! Needs a (Harlem) shake up
-
I coukdnt even get the forum earlier. The address does not exist or has been moved ha ha
Just remember how much traffic this place will get guys. The strain on the server must be incredible
-
I use Firefox and not had any issues.
-
Something to do with cookies on browser?
That explains why I don't get this issue!! Any cookies that come anywhere near me disappear quickly!

I have just cleared my cookies, but it still doesnt allow me to quote.

I've been having the same problem with Chrome, been like it the last few days...
-
Me too. Still have it.
-
It is the same on IE when previewing/quoting.

Bizarrely, it's not something I've seen a problem with. I really don't know what's causing the problem.
-
I'm on a mac if that makes any difference Tim?
-
I'm having massive problems connecting but only through wifi

Mine's being repaired at the moment. Will have to see what happens when it comes back.

Maybe linked to the service provider?

Happened to me a few times on my iPad
-
I'm not clear what you guys mean when you say preview...
-
Did not have any problems till mobile site launched now problems all the time
-
Just to reiterate my issue previously - on my other account I can quote/preview fine, just on this account (I'm using the same browser etc, nothing changes), I cannot quote, or preview posts. It just comes up with a Green Loading bar at the top of the browser, but nothing happens.
-
Same problem in Chrome for me, using this account.
-
I'm still in the same predicament. Makes it hard to direct conversation some what.

Quoting seems to work fine for me but I can't preview anything when I post.
-
Never had any of these problems but do sometimes get the message up that says there is too much strain on the server and cannot access certain parts.
-
i use chrome and had the green loading bar appear a couple of times while attempting to post
-
No quoting for me on iphone/ipad or laptop
-
Line 177 of topic.js seems to be wrong, when calling the quote function:
TypeError: oXMLDoc.getElementsByTagName(...)[0] is undefined
-
Just checked the site in firebug and I'm getting the same error as Tom in Firefox…
TypeError: oXMLDoc.getElementsByTagName(...)[0] is undefined
[Break On This Error]
...r (var i = 0; i < oXMLDoc.getElementsByTagName('quote')[0].childNodes.length; i+...
topic.js (line 177)
Can we sort this out please, i want to quote people :)
-
I'm still having the same problems ie. not being able to quote people or preview any post i make. I'm on my desktop PC using Chrome browser....

I don't really understand why. I'm not sure the code issue below is the root of problem, as others seem not to have it.
I wonder whether there are any plugins causing the issue. I'll have a dig into it though.

Getting AVG warnings when I come on the site, though not every time. I think other people might be getting this too? Browser is Firefox.
-
Here's something that I have noticed.....
1 - Click quote on someone's post before you hit the reply button and it will work.
2 - If you are already in the posting a message/replying screen and you scroll down to click on a post you want to quote it will not work...and you get

I believe this is now fixed and was linked to the malware issue.
