Forum oddness??
« on: February 18, 2013, 12:50:50 PM »

HAve noticed this morning that, although I am signed in to the forum and can view all threads and posts, I can only see 4 buttons along the top of the page (I am viewing on my PC) The buttons I can see are Home, Help, Login and Register. So I have lost the Messages, Profile and a few others?? Weird!

Have refreshed page, clicked the login button and logged in again but to no avail? Is this a problem my end or with the forum?

Thanks fellas....... :)

Seems to have sorted itself now.....v weird..... ???

That happened to me a couple of weeks ago, it eventually went away though, so I figured it was just a glitch.
Probably just wait it out and eventually when you log in it hopefully should be back to normal.

It seems to have sorted itself out now but it's odd!

Oh! From the title, this thread looked much more promising!

That generally happens to me the very first time I open up CBF, I presumed it was something to do with the saved password in IE.  All I do is click the "home" button to refresh the page and I'm logged in.

It's something to do with cookies on your browser. When you set your profile to never logout it will store it in a cookie. If something goes a little screwy with your browser cache/stored 'stuff' then you may have problems.

Rather than starting a new topic,

I'm having a slight issue, where I cannot preview any posts - or I cannot 'quote' any post, it brings up a green box saying it's loading - but nothing happens. I'm currently using Firefox is that has any bearing on it.

Something to do with cookies on browser?
That explains why I don't get this issue!! Any cookies that come anywhere near me disappear quickly!
