That was my question. Do you have to pay import tax/duty on them? How much if so?

Both people who have bought from India have paid customs charges.
-
Duty was more than i anticipated for mine, it was also payable in cash on delivery which i did not expect.
Unless you really really want them now like i did, it will be better to wait and buy them at a sensible price from a UK retailer before christmas,
-
Christmas!? Thats lightyears away! Any idea on what therice will be when released over here?

No idea on price yet.
They always intended to launch for the 2014 season in the UK, i guess kit badgers like ourselves will always find a way though.

I got the above Nikes last month and had to pay 30 quid in import duty. Overall cost with import duty 120 quid .

i hate it when they sell it so late in the UK...
-
I understand your frustration and we would have loved to launch them in the UK for this season, but the reality is that the product didn't get launched until the UK season was well underway. So, they will be in store from October/November. Pricing will be around £90-100 for the LunarDominate and another £5 or so for the LunarAccelerate.
The feedback from the players who have used them has been tremendous. We have managed to secure a small allocation for our first class players in the UK and they have provided very positive reviews on these so far. They report much higher levels of comfortable and flexibility.
If you have any more questions about these shoes, please ask away

they look decent can you bolwing them?
-
just got a pair of the Potentials in Rubber from india and they are fantastic shoes.

You can bowl in both the Dominate and the Accelerate. The Accelerate is for people who need a little more support - fast bowlers mostly.

These should be very reasonably priced in the UK when they get launched. They are very comfortable and the sole unit is from Nike's trail running range so it should handle grass, mud etc very well allowing grip to be maintained. Any feedback you have on this would be great.

How grippy are these? The rubber lugs don't look too deep. I hate spikes and looking to get a pair of rubber soled shoes. These seem to be the cheapest. However the last pair of Nike rubber soled shoes I had bought lasted a grand total of 4 matches so I'ma little apprehensive. Puma Evospeed, Asics Gels Peake and Adidas AR 4 complete the line up but they are all more expensive. Used any of these? How do they compare?

I want the top bowling one with the blue white orange colour, can't wait for it to come out in uk!!

As I mentioned in an earlier post, the Potential's sole unit is the same as that which is used on Nike's trail running shoe range. So it should handle mud and grass pretty well.
This shoe is aimed at an all purpose market - it could be used for any kind of training but is also coloured appropriately for cricket.
I'm not sure which type of Nike rubber soled shoe you destroyed in four matches, but feel free to post about that because it may have a bearing on whether the Potential is a good shoe for you.

Thanks for the reply mate. The shoes I was talking about were a pair of lunar glides. Not really cricket shoes but top of the range running shoes.

Didn't so much destroy them. The black parts of the sole started peeling off very very quickly. I tried using super glue but didn't hold for long. So kinda swore off Nike and been a happy Puma loyalist ever since but these new white and orange Nikes do tempt :)

As you have discovered, cricket will destroy running shoes because they aren't built for that purpose. If you are really hard on shoes then its possible the Potential won't suit you either but it would be hard to know without trying a pair on. This year's Nike rubber - the Googly II - is a really tough shoe and if you have an opportunity to look at a pair, I'd recommend that.
-
Cool scene! Think I will wait to try these out and if comfy, as I suspect they will be, I'll pick em up. Cheap enough to take a punt. Don't really think I was very hard on those lunar glides. Maybe I just got a bum pair.

They have some sort of partnership I think, Nike sell their gear through Aero or something...
-
If you want quality running shoes these are it

The most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, not used them for cricket but think I will this weekend now.
-
Worn mine a few times now, easily the best shoes i've ever had. Not quite as much support as my Asics 200 Not Outs, but miles more cushioning, they are also lighter, the cut round the ankle is perfect and overall are just very very comfortable.

As well as doing our own brand, Aero, we are Nike Cricket's distributor in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

That's great to hear Jake - thanks for the feedback. We've had similar feedback from the elite sponsored players who have been using them, but it's always nice to get feedback from the coalface.
-
Hi philip AKA Aero, any chance that these Nikes will come with separate width fittings? As we have players who buy runners and get them spiked only because they come in width fittings as well as size 9 etc. As when you think you can spend on average 6 to 7 hours in the field for a 45 over match shoes are a big thing and I for one would pay extra for a pair of shoes available in different widths as well, and will be able to build a pair like Nike ID etc? maybe there we can get a width altered etc.
-
No plans at this stage to release separate width fittings. This can happen with running shoes because of the huge volumes that are sold. Cricket shoes sell in much smaller volumes and to hold more than one width per size just wouldn't work I'm afraid.

If I was a bowler I think the bowling shoes would be next level too, they look the part and I'm sure will offer similar comfort levels, people are crying out for a higher cut with supporting strap at the moment too.

Just got a newsletter from my local cricket store and these shoes are advertised at NZD $189.90 which comes up to GBP 94!!if that is not a typo then that's incredibly cheap considering how much the last years top end Nikes were
