Title: Eng aus t20, roots lids!
Post by: hawkeye92 on August 29, 2013, 07:33:54 PM: Anyone else see roots helmets just fall apart when it got hit tonight?
i bet arytek i feeling good about them self! and i imagine gunn and moore are feeling a bit silly!
the welding just came apart!

He used Alex Hales' GM lid after the incident. Carberry initially ran a Masuri out to him which he didn't want.

I thought he was running back as he forgot to bring the boys size helmet ;).

The welding of the grille failed and a shard of metal flew off at quite a pace, i can only imagine the horror if that had sprung off into roots face, or even into a close fielder.

Should have been told to wear the "safest", might highlight the dangers of not wearing the best protection at test level.

He had an older albion grille (2004) in the second ODI, but had a 2010 albion grille last night. Personally, I think he should use Albion's new grille. The one Johnson and Ahmed both use. It's great.
