I do like the look of the V5 and the V600 you picked the most defiantely think you picked the Nicest bat out of the lot.
Still not convinced on the softs as i've preordered the works from kookaburra as their range looks a lot better just my opinion though.
little surprised they have gone down the 2 strap route on their top of the range batting pads as well.

Catalogue states made in England. Slaz staff confirmed this at the trade shows too.

The V6 was Indian made in 2013.

Not a fan of their normal range, looks ugly to be honest. I their retro range looks very classy.

I think their pads look like Puma ones from last year nothing special really, and gloves are still not as nice as some of their past ones and not keen on the black pittards either, think the other big guns have done a lot better with their ranges ie the Bubble range from Kook looks stellar in comparision to the Slaz offering.

A lad at my club is sponsored by Slazenger he had 2 v500 bats and 2 v1200 and preferred the v500 everytime think he may have netted once with a v1200 but wasn't blown away by it

prefer the v styling on the bats to previous years.

really dont like the softs. have tried the 2 strap pumas and something just says no. 2 strap pads should be the morrant ulralites and thats it

I think it will be available online as well as on their big stores. The nearest one to us is in Taunton.

40mm edges is impressive for 2.8 but how much is the spine height ..... it looks like it is just and edge and no meat on the back???

V5 looks an impressive piece of bat.

But I am thinking as per garretts comment, it may be the angle of the bats/camera that make some bats look larger and others not so much?

That V5 is similar in profile to my B3 bespoke...

I do like that Slazenger have gone back to the 'V' on their bats - It really is what defines them and makes them stand out.

Do not like the softs at all - any of them

I don't have the bat so can't tell you the height of spine but if i remember correctly there was defintely some wood on the back hence i liked it and asked him to reserve it for me

"why is the World so unkind?".... These are questions that we have been debating for eons and are not likely to answer in the space of a few lines of Forum text...  ;)
In the meantime Mo_town, get yourself some decent broadband width and settle down and enjoy the ride!

I love the V100 TAS bat - I can see myself owning one of these one day - if only to simply see how it goes. I don't know anyone who has one and I'd love to know how they go - and whether the inserts make any noticeable difference. While I am not a fan of most of the softs, I didn't mind the black/yellow pad and glove combination.
