Seriously how many bats did you use in games last/current season
I used 2 in games was happy with them got used to them scored more runs.
How any did you use in game.
I personally think some of you are not giving bats a chance and getting used to a them.

I used 4 different bats, not through choice, through really bad luck breaking them!

I have used my main bat for 2 1/2 seasons, and I think I've used 3 others in 1 game each. I've netted with a lot but my main bat is used 95% of the time for league matches

I used two bats last year, my Kahuna 1000 with its slightly lower middle and my Warsop Platinum for drier bouncier wickets as its middle is higher, and its a little lighter so makes it easier to whip through the ball on shorter deliveries. I'll have a choice of three this year with the new E41 Test in the mix too, will see how it fairs in the nets.

Just used the one bat for the last 3 seasons. Just about had it now so time for a new one :)

I used 14 bats last season but the same bat every Saturday but basically used a different one every Sunday or midweek game

6 different bats got some match time, 4 of those got either a full game or a few overs depending on how they felt but other 2 (Salix & BR) got rest of the games split 50-50 between them.

Just 2 for me - the trusted "blank" bat I bought from Asad at Uzi sports in Jan 2012 and a short blade Aldred Gold Sovereign I picked up from Paul as part of his 30% club deal last summer.

3 in total, shuffling them around and trying to settle on them.
last 2 3rds of the season just 2. A down south bat and an up north bat to save me carrying kit on trains.

It was 1 until I joined the forum.
Last season it was 4 but I'm back to my old method and bat specs and hopefully next season will be 1, maybe 2.

2 - one I used in every game apart from the one game which I used the other (an made 0, with a somewhat dubious LBW decision...)
before that I used the same bat for the last 2 seasons, with the exception of one game in which I used the bat which is now my regular match bat, oh and a lovely blank bat from Canners
so in the four years I have been a member on here I have only actually used 4 bats in matches, one of which was used and I made a duck.

Just the one for me. Scored near enough 1500 runs for the season with my Gray Nicholls Oblivion, by far my best season with the bat ever. Unfortunately it started to delaminate itself towards the end of the season and despite being sent back to Gray Nicholls for some TLC, I'm going to retire it so I can so my grand kids can see how awesome Grandpa was.

Two, was too busy sourcing everyone else bats out rather than get anything sorted for myself - so had to use an Old GM that I had for the first couple of games, hardly scored a run with it - changed to my now match bat and had a very fruitful season with the bat.

Used one heap of shi#e M&H , that fortunately snapped in half, then 'borrowed' my sons M&H bat, which although that didn't snap, I wish it had
A waste of £600, but anyway, ,I think I'm over it now!
Ended up with a very nice Jedi from James at Skelmanthorpe, stunning bit of willow for the money, which my son robbed off me,for his county duties.
So now, I treated us both to a couple of affinitys, which are better than I will ever need
This year, I want an Aldred, and if I can get the money before Asad sells em, one of his amazing pro bats
Did I mention how shi#e my M&H was??

Did you use senior counties and Alfred Evans ace in the day like the rest of is in that area mate

i think i used 3 my main bat a mongoose cor 3 for all the club games except for 1 match when i used my old bat and realised how rubbish it was and threw it in with the firewood. i played lms this season and used my mongoose mmi 3.
i have finally replaced my cor3 which i had been looking to do all last season and bought a gray nics nemesis just applied a second grip to it today and hopefully i'll have a good season with it

My Ace bat was probably the best bat I've ever used, and it was only one of his grade two,s! Could lift a full toss onto tennis courts at Rolls Royce! Unreal middle on it
I think,to be honest, ,we were spoilt with his bats.
I've had about 6 or 7 bats off James, his apprentice at Ace, , last year, and they are very nice.
Did you ever come across any lamberts bats?

Bring this thred back to life after watching joe root today
He burst onto the England scene using a stock gm octane. Which morthed into a not stock octane.
This year gm declared he would use the six6 in tests and the octane In Odis and t20s. Of which he started to do.
But why two different bats at that level?
Well first 4 tests the six6 was used
First two Odis the octane was used.
Today's odi, a six6!
And it was a six 6, a stock one.
So did he pick up the wrong bat? Or Has he decided he feels better with the six6 shape(they are two very different bats)
If the latter what will gm say?

The Laver in league matches, feeling it waking up over the course of the year was great, and most hits and giggle games. Other than that an RK in the T20 stuff which was then sold to a teammate at the end of the year you borrowed it and instantly made his first ton ever. Couldn't deprive him of the memory!
Oh and the FiL bat was always in my midweek bag for slogging and lending out to Billy no Bat types.

He hasn't really been in long enough for anyone to really notice.
Ian bell never used the menace mitts in ODIs as was advertised. The world still turns :)

5. two in league games, two in pre-season and one at the end of the year.

One, the redback paradox that I've had for just over the last two seasons. Tended to take my bulldog basher along to games but I lent it out to team mates and never actually used it myself.
I mainly the bulldog in nets to preserve my Redback but this year I think I'll just use the Redback for everything - if it dies then it's a good excuse to buy a new bat. Of course then I'd have to choose a new one and I have no idea how I'd pick between a H4L or an aldred as they're the ones that have really caught my eye in the last 12 months.

Technically 3. I used one bat for half a season in the league but then changed as I felt my GM was going too well to ignore. Benefits of switching is sometimes one bat feels better mid season and you can make that change. My 3rd bat got a few run outs on a Sunday, simply to get it played in. Not looking short term on any of my bats, intend keeping them for a few years yet. All are between 2'8-10 and offer slight changes in profile but nothing too different. Handy to have options but I have a pecking order for league cricket and until my top bat falls to bits it will keep being used. Sunday friendly cricket I'm happy to switch it around when it suits me. I won't use my League bat for netting, I'll go to number 2 or 3.

Most I've ever used on one game is two bats. I only change bats near the end of the game when the proper shots stop and I'm going into hitting mode so go for the net bat that for some reason I find hitting easier with.. Game bat is better but for some reason I can't slog with it :(

Last season I started with a Chase Volante. Towards the end I used an original Stuart Surridge Jumbo in a match, and a Slazenger v600 in the other.
So three bats, though two of them only saw a game each.

Although I have too many bats to choose from - I have only used one bat this season - the Ton Gladiator.
It is seriously the best bat I have ever used. Awesome middle and great pickup. Just a lovely bat to use.

Just the one Dave, i've got net bat i made about 2 months ago and used it once. I just love my current bat so will use it until its dead.

2 for me. Did the classic thing of changing bat having gone through a patch of bad form about a third of the way into the season and things seemed to click into place.

Started off with a Spartan and Vantage Lithium, used both but couldnt score anything so brought a Rob Pack custom in the old Kook Goldcrown shape and went very well got a decent high score with it,
so 3 for last year, as for this season keeping the Pack and also got myself a Bubble legend and E41oblivion from Vitas and a B3 crown as well plus just ordered an NV H4L, But probably wont use the Pack and Bubble as i like the idea of an old and new Bubble on my shelf
so 3 more for this season

Only one for me as I haven't been staying out there very long this season :-[ Although if you had seen how many times I have gone out LBW you would probably wonder why I even walk out there with a bat :-[ :-[ :-[

I used 4 in matches last year, started with an old favourite (my Chase) switched to my Woodstock for when the ball needed a whack, the Purist was originally me wet weather bat but was promoted to my match bat as it was a gun, and I ended up using a borrowed TT in one game as my bat had been "leant out" without me knowing!
