Title: Fantasy £300 bat spend
Post by: Northern monkey on March 02, 2014, 12:25:11 PM
After buying two Affinity bats before Xmas @ 300 pounds each, both of which,in my eyes are exceptional in performance,(I have little interest in looks), I was wondering what you guys would buy, given a 300 pound ish budget.

I'm not talking discounted prices, or mates rates, favours etc just stick to rrp if poss

As a start, I would have two Aldred butterfly bats

I'd buy the new LE RPC that's coming out.. It's a monster, looks the dogs and as with all RPc's will go as well as anything.

Not that I'd spend £300 on a bat though.

A Devil from H4L and spend the other £180 on a 2005 Chateaux Margeaux.

That's a serious answer. My latest Devil is an absolute gun! Our top batter has just bought two!

You can't take the line you take over Salix being over priced when you spend £180 on a bottle of 9-year old sparkling grape juice!!! :D

But admittedly, I like your style FastEddie!

Anything in life,is only worth what someone's willing to pay for it.

300 pounds, is I feel, a mid to high price to pay for a bat, but its what I would personally be willing to pay
But
It has to be an exceptional performing piece of willow

B&S bats were one of the company's I looked at before joining the forum, ,
Stunning looking bats, but I couldn't find any reviews or knew anyone who'd used one?

Chateaux Margaux is definitely not sparkling!  My Dear thing!  :o :D
It's about value for money.

Unless I've misunderstood the question and I HAVE to spend £300 on a bat. If that is the case, I'd but a Devil from Matt at £120 and have £180 in credit for my next 1 1/2 bats.
I would miss my claret then.

Not sure any drink is worth more than £15!! It's. Of about value for money it's about your personal priorities and how you individually choose to spend ££££. Cars mean nothing, houses mean nothing, wine/drink means nothing.. So I choose to spend on other stuff etc.

No need to spend a lot on wine, the cheap ones are fine after a glass or two, the more you drink the better it tastes!  :D

Being t total, that sounds a total and utter waste of money. What do you get from your wine the next day? Or a week Later?

A few years later you make get a damaged liver, but I really don't see an upside.

Bigger wast of money them salix!

The next day a headache, a week later awkward eye contact at the bottle bank when you take your 15 empty bottles to be recycled!
