Fantasy £300 bat spend
« on: March 02, 2014, 12:25:11 PM »

After buying two Affinity bats before Xmas @ 300 pounds each, both of which,in my eyes are exceptional in performance,(I have little interest in looks), I was wondering what you guys would buy, given a 300 pound ish budget.

I'm not talking discounted prices, or mates rates, favours etc just stick to rrp if poss

As a start, I would have two Aldred butterfly bats

I'd buy the new LE RPC that's coming out.. It's a monster, looks the dogs and as with all RPc's will go as well as anything.

Not that I'd spend £300 on a bat though.

A Devil from H4L and spend the other £180 on a 2005 Chateaux Margeaux.

That's a serious answer. My latest Devil is an absolute gun! Our top batter has just bought two!

You can't take the line you take over Salix being over priced when you spend £180 on a bottle of 9-year old sparkling grape juice!!! :D

But admittedly, I like your style FastEddie!

If you spoke nicely to B&S retailers you could possibly get L/E bat pads and gloves maybe ?

Anything in life,is only worth what someone's willing to pay for it.

300 pounds, is I feel, a mid to high price to pay for a bat, but its what I would personally be willing to pay
But
It has to be an exceptional performing piece of willow
