In line with previous pencil and trouser threads, I though I would bring this up?
Anyone have a preferred unguent to apply to the plum and thigh region on hot days to avoid the burn of the chafe, and angry red skin?
(As I am now a teetotal athlete, this is obviously a request for other people who are not me?)

I don't use cream, but find talc powder works well.
-
I use cycling shorts with talc, it works a treat.

Sudocrem! If it works for babies nappy soreness and red skin, then it should work for almost anything!
And certainly gentle enough for you baby soft skin big boy! ;)
-
Sudocreme is very good - or decent baselayers and you won't need any of that stuff! Skins are the best...

next it will be about ............... chaffed nipples ................ best gel to keep your hair in place while wearing a helmet ................ soon you'll be discussing other stuff like hair straighteners, mascara and lipstick
-
Talc helps prevent any chaffing, Sudicrem to stop it getting worst. Can't believe I'm typing this!
-
I think you'll agree John, that safely ensconsing your love-eggs without chaffing is far more important than any of that other poncey stuff!
-
Sudocrem all the way!!
Best eau de toilette to get lucky on the beers after the game?

Not sure, but I hear that Thai Square in Putney is an effective place to try it out...
-
I think that toilet water stuff is over-rated. Last time I was splashing some on the seat fell down and cracked me on the back of the head...

That name brings back bad memories from Uni!

Bodyglide and Lanacane anti-chafing gel are both good.
-
ive played cricket for 25 years, opening the batting and keeping wicket and never had any chaffing issues

Our toddler agrees with sudocrem.
A really good pair of compression shorts should negate this.
I have bad memories of this from the Army, crotch rot. Not fun.

I used these last year and have a new pair for this season. Since I've worn them, I have never come down with a case of chaffyknackeritis

Have to agree with you.

You've obviously not got an iconic body then! (Admittedly that icon is Buddah though...)

Breaking News!
Greek Yoghurt shrivels your balls, but surprisingly, a dash of lemon puffs them up again.
(yes, he's back on the alcohol!)
