Hi guys,
I just received the delivery for my Gray Nicolls Legend pads, but I noticed they are twisted a little so if I align from bottom the the knee roll twists to left. The cane going up from the center of logo to knee is not in center either. Plus there is no gell in the knee section. I ordered from Barringtonsports.co.uk. Are those fake or rejected from the factory or something? These are expensive pads :O

Not sure barrington sell fakes. So maybe seconds or a one off.
Having said that. Only the gel section would be the issue the pads are twisted by design.
There right handed pads. So the top half has a slight twist to face the bowler once in stance.

I would say they've sent you an old model. I'm sure as well that the twist in the pad has been mentioned before (by design rather than fault).

Just checked gray nicolls website and the front looks the same but the straps are different, maybe they sent me a 2-3 yrs old model? :O

Barringtons are a reputable company can't see them selling fakes but they do look similar to an older model.

They sent me 2013 model, crap absolutely crap all these cricket companies are crap. They think their customers are stupid or something.

I would contact Barringtons and explain that you believe that you have been sent the 2013 model. It could be a genuine mistake also I believe that they have a free returns and no quibble refunds policy.

It's a bit misleading to be honest. Picture shows the latest model. Description is missing the information about the Gel knee padding.
The following has been taken from the Vitas website advertising the product with the same image

As others have said though they offer a FREE returns service via collect+ so might be worth giving them a chance to rectify the situation as it could be an honest mistake

I've contacted them hopefully they'll send me the replacement but that will waste another week of practice. >:(

They are saying "you ordered the 2014 version and you got 2014 version" lol. It's not 2014 version and its different from the photos on their website. They said if I wanted to return i could do that and my refund will be issued in about 3-4 weeks time as collect+ takes about 2-3 weeks to deliver back to them LOL.
All of these cricket companies are total CRAP. Its been a month since I started buying my things, first from cricket direct they took 10 days to refund me because they never sent me anything and after a fight they refunded. Then VKS, they delivered but sizes were not right for a couple of things, to get them replaced it took me about 10 days. Now this bullshit.

That's a bit harsh on VKS mate, it's not their fault you ordered the wrong size items! :-[
As for Cricket Direct and Barringtons, I've never used either so cannot personally comment, but from what you've said you've got a right to feel hard done by.

Send them back with myhermes 3-5 quid. Then make sure they refund you by next week. Then order from someone else!! If people dont value your business enough its best to not give it them. As the pro says, its the norm nowadays. Apart from a select group who go above and beyond.

You could always use a forum sponsor, we are more than happy to help, even if it is product we don't actively stock.
The Legend pad is slightly twisted by design, my 2012 Legends are still going strong and are my favourite pads ever, but it did take me a little while to get used to the twist. The model you have received is the 2013 pad, not the 2014 one. Their URL even carries '2013' so i'm not sure whats going on.

Bit of a mass generalisation there, some companies pride themselves on customer service and I would like to think build up a loyal customer base as part of it.

After sending some photos they now agree that they are 2013 version and were sent by mistake. Now they don't have my size in stock and it would take 10 days for the new stock to arrive that means about 3 weeks. >:( >:( >:(

I'm guessing you want small mens RH based on previous posts? I could have a set in stock with me on Monday if required.

Can anyone please tell me if they r foam only or do they have cane+HDF around shin area? I know the new ones have that.

I was up till half one sorting something out last night I think people are spoilt on this forum by customer service by and large yes we mess up sometimes but we try our best all or most in here for sure I know that.
Ps as I keep telling people I'm not on commission either I did it to sort somebody out!!!!

Yeah that's the main reason I wanted to return these otherwise they are still very nice and feel solid.

@icewolf , there are plenty of options. Jake at vitas can direct you. Vks do a great in house set, ss made by memory.
Whilst on the subject I just wanted to say that the forum sponsors go above and beyond our expectations with regards service. Most on here will put in a call to their most trusted for any kit. In my case bats - paul aldred, the doctor and procricket at b3. Anything else I always send jake an email. I think the service quotes were more suited at the sports direct type staff or similar.

Just wanted to say that I recently bought a bat from Barringtons and the service was excellent, good accurate description of weight, grains, ping / sweet spot, pick up and photos were emailed - I know some of this is subjective but it was pretty good.
I did ask a couple of our sponsors if they had what I wanted but no one had it in stock so had to venture else where.

Yes if you complete your order on barrington they offer you £5 off so its £95 but they dont have them in stock for my size at the moment they'll have them in about 2 weeks i guess.
Anyway I have ordered from VITA an hr ago for £99 :) hope they deliver by tuesday thats my next nets day.

Living 100 miles away from any cricket store has caused frustration for me for sizing and other issues when buying online without knowing anything.

I would say grays and vitas are excellent for delivery times. Tuesday might be pushing it a bit though.

As i've noted your frustration with other retailers i ordered (at our expense) the pads for you from Gray Nics on a next day delivery this morning, normally at this time of year orders take approx 3 days to arrive to us. As discussed in our email conversation this afternoon, they will arrive tomorrow morning, normally we don't offer next day delivery as part of our free delivery offer, but they will be sent out to you for delivery on Wednesday :)
