Guys,
I'm new to this forum, I ordered my bat from IJC thru online. Before I placed the order there were lot of discussion and email with Paul and he answered all my questions and hand picked the good bat for me. Newbery platinum is specially designed by IJC. What's your thought on this?(http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10/10/2ff72e923539224617da713c298c7c3e.jpg)(http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10/10/86e2fed158bd9277cf077b837837b4fb.jpg)(http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10/10/6e842b3537288ceb77a415df72ec6b57.jpg)(http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10/10/31e2478e837bb9a2ef94978a5c664946.jpg)(http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10/10/a7c82f8dd968124ecd96b0abbd743a47.jpg)(http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10/10/733a1e4b45b7ebdf65c3740513cf06c4.jpg)(http://)

I think you have bought a cracking bat! Zero concaving and newbery quality all over it . Enjoy

Welcome to the forum Have no doubt about it you cant go wrong with Pauls handpicking and service you will have an excellent bat there but don't forget to prepare it properly.
-
I don't like the tape going up the length of the blade and feel it could do with a scuff sheet.
Other than that, cracking looking stick :)
-
Lovely grains! What are the specs on this?
-
I would rather have edge tape than a full face sheet not only does the bat look nicer showing the grains there's no scuff sheet to reduce the bats performance.
-
Glad you like the bat! They've all come out pretty well, we were very pleased with them when we designed them and then handpicked them, but of course the proof is in the pudding, and to hear the positive feedback is what makes the whole job worthwhile! Hope it scores you a lot of runs mate!

IJC (and Newbery) has done a great job with these. Great shape and classy finish.
Now get some more in at the lighter weights!
-
We are hand picking some in the next couple of weeks which should feature 2'7s and 2'8s. If you want to get a specific one for yourself you can always pre-order - you'd get free knocking in on it too!

Yes mate, started using in nets, great response.

The domed shaped is lovely. I had a tour that played beautifully.

I see some rubbish on here but that's a ripper.

Scuff sheet don't "reduce performance"

Haha
Being the Aussie season has started who has scuff sheets to off load.

Not everyone would agree there's many posts on here if you wish to take a look....
-
that looks really good. Hope u score lot of runs with the bat
-
I like the shape. TK makes exceptional bats.

Things being posted on here doesn't make them fact, only opinion. I would place more credence in the fact the majority of test and first class players use some form of sleeve on their blades, even through the years binding and pig skin have been used to keep favourite bats going. If any of these things made an ounce of difference to performance of a bat they wouldn't get used.
-
welcome to the forum mate!! a ripper of a bat you've got there mate. hope you score lots with it.. :)
-
All the best with your new stick mate!
-
Looks a belter, enjoy!

I beg to differ sir
Can't speak for down under but hardly any of the proffesionals I know and whose bats I have knowledge of don't use any type of scuff sheet.
-
looking at a few of those on TV, they prefer the fibre scuff sheet (which to me looks really ugly)
-
Amazing stick pal. Plenty of runs in it.

I have to say I was very impressed with the Platinum bats when I was there on the weekend. The profile is lovely and the stickers ooze class.

I have seen it on the site. What I meant was, your bat weight, edge size, spine height etc

Great looking stick ! Just wondering if you could tell me how high the middle is from the toe in Cms ?
Much appreciated !
