Scrolling through my Facebook and see this image from Romida...
Seems to be the new 2016 Vector colour way, I like the red and blue combo and expect that it will run throughout the whole range?
Once I clicked on the link I saw no 2016 boots though so I guess this is a mistake by Romida?
-
So Adidas bowling boots are the same for the third(?) year in a row now? How innovative. Still, don't think I've ever seen a pair on the feet of a non-pro player, so who cares ha.
-
Yes, this is the Vector look for 2016.
I wouldn't be so quick of people to write off Adidas for 2016.
They've got one particular shoe which will blow people's mind!
And the rest of the range has subtle tweaks, like stiffening of the midsole etc, which are welcome moves for a very popular shoe range!

They look amazing, loving the return of the solar blue colours with the orange. Are you allowed to leak any details Chris (just for forum members) ;) ...
-
Well they are certainly bright..... I think I will be on the look out for the 2015 version in the sales.
-
I'm sure Romida had put the 2016 range on their site the other week but looks like this has since been removed. From what I can remember their was a new Anderson boot which was pretty 'interesting' looking in my opinion... :o
-
The theory is with the design that the heel section is covered by your whites once being worn so 70% of the boot on show is still white in accordance with ICC regs.

Think I'll stick with New Balance... :D

Big fan of these boots...
I expect they'll be expensive though

Thats the one, SL22 Boost.
Boost foam in the sole as found under various brand names on running shoes from all the big players in the market. Obviously very different soleplate with no spikes. Apparently worn by a few county players this Summer, including Collingwood with positive feedback. Intended as a batting/fielding shoe obviously, probably no issues bowling spin but not designed for fast bowlers!
Its so light as the framework to hold spikes in place isn't necessary.

Ah that's a shame, I'd consider myself a medium/fast bowler but looks like I won't be using them for that...

Any idea on the price? Interested to say the least!

RRP of £125, should retail at around £100

Agreed, far too much going on. Pity as I thought this years design was spot on..

For me its the use of chrome and the edge stickers that make it look garish
-
Will there be a normal batting shoe as well? ??? If not I think im moving to Nike or New Balance.

It's like the Anti of what I want to go for next season (clean, simple). Still guess it will appeal to someone / a market.
-
Just glad I bought last years SL22's in the sales after seeing these!
-
Those Vectors look mint, definitely going on the Christmas list.

I think we will sell them for £105.

Yes, the rest of the shoes remain the same as 2015 aside from colour/small technical updates.
Nike have left the cricket market as far as everyone can tell. No UK distributor anymore is something that is definitely certain.

Ah fair enough. Love the new colour scheme; it would look good on the normal SL22
-
They look pretty neat, no good for those of use that bowl seam though! Much as I like lightweight boots to bat in, £100+ is too much if you're having to buy two pairs.
-

Go ahead Ollie, you're only a slow bowler
-
Boost technology is great, think it will be incredible to have these in a cricket shoe

I agree, boost technology makes you feel like you're running with springs in your boot but the shoe looks so weird imo.

The new Howzat spikes are much better than last years too, plus they are £5 cheaper.

Sam Curran was on Twitter earlier today saying he was at an Adidas Cricket photo shoot, so imagine it will all be thrown out to the general public shortly.

Are these an alternative to proper spikes or would they only be suitable for batting on a dry track? I'm looking for a good batting/keeper pair.

They're an alternative to proper spikes and apparently reviews from the pro's that used them during the testing stages were good.
This paticular model is not being released until March.
-
Ah great thanks.
Probably get a pair if they fit my fat feet.
-
What a mess !
Think I'll be going for Asics gel 210 not outs, my mate swears by them.
-
After a couple of hours they're growing on me ;)
-
Really don't like the look of them but would get them just because of the boost soles
-
As we are getting close to March and I am bored at work, any update on when the SL22 boosts will be in the shops?

I think he was on about the new boost variety that were supposed to be coming out just in time for my birthday :D :D :D
-
They will be available from the end of March.
-
I hate waiting but I think/hope they will be really good to wear. Thanks for the update.

I tried on this prototype pair when they were first shown to us last June and they felt really comfortable (although they were small for me).
The sole plate offers great grip too from what we have been told.

An outdoor boot that is a hybrid for grass and astro?

Mainly intended for grass
Also the finished model wont have a black sole plate, it's an orangey colour to match the stripes on the upper of the shoe
-
It's sexy and pimply - but £100 quid for cricket shoes!! Bloody hell, it's getting an expensive sport.

Am i right in saying these are the SL22 which have a blue sole with just studs and none of the soles replicate this at all
-
My parents have offered to get me a pair whenever they come out (for my 22nd), but wanted some form of embroidered thing to make it a bit more 'special' to say its from them, suppose i'll have to wait for pro-direct to post them up with an option assuming no-one else provides the service?
-
PR has started for the SL22 Boost. Expect on the stores over the next few weeks.

Just found out that the new SL22 Boost will be hitting the distributor first week of April
-
In comparison to the previous pictures on here, it looks as though they have got rid of the extra bit on the front of the toe. Look more like a standard trainer than anything else I have seen! cannot wait to get a pair now
-
looks as though the GCCC have got the first review up of the shoes... fill yer boots

I've used the vectors for a while now and I cannot complain at all about their performance, they are really comfortable and hold my feet in place both in the field and when bowling, surprisingly they feel quite light when I'm wearing them too. The game I played in yesterday had 6 players wearing adidas boots and 4 of those 6 all were wearing vectors. I have the 2015 red colour way but I'm tempted to buy the blue ones as they look really nice.
