Ripple grips for me, either 1 ripple or a ripple over something thinner depending on feel of the individual bat

The top grip nust be white.
I put half a chevron or scale grip (whatever is lying around for me to cut up!) on the bottom half of the handle.
I then use either a chevron or a Kookaburra Players grip on the top, depending on the feel/thickness of the handle

I used rippke grips on my SS bats at the start of last season, and as they're fairly heavy as far as a grip goes they helped the pickup on the bats which has a lot of wood lower down.

Just because I have 3 sets of gloves to match my kit, it doesn't mean I want them all eaten by horrible grips!
I like to buy new ones for no good reason, rather than out of necessity  ;)

There's no maybe about it, as you've confessed to your crime I think you should get 7 days to rectify the issue, then a ban for breaking forum rules of not having hundreds/thousands of pounds worth of unnecessary kit  ;)

Such a slanderous comment about buying lots of kit.

It is never "unnecessary" !!!!!

3 grips for me. Bottom grip is always a ripple followed by 2 of whatever else I have. I do prefer the top grip to be white though.

Currently goes ripple, chevron and then scale.

When you've got a missus you'll learn, showing them a worn/ripped pair of gloves give more than enough reason to buy a new pair(she may even get her purse out to pay), pads to match and bats as the last one was faulty.

Where as merely hoarding them while all shiny,  leads to suspicioun, sneaking about and divorce!! Or even worse a stop on kit buying shenanigans. Noooooo

Well I'm not an octopus so carrying 4 pairs of gloves "just in case" is seen as overkill by some  :-[

That said we have guys playing 5th team who use a test standard thigh guard, then face 35mph bowling every week. Even if anyone was bowling at 90mph, on those pitches it isn't likely to get above ankle height, I'd say that's overkill personally but I never question them about it! :D

I had a missus who was clearly not up to standard. I don't think she even owned a purse (or she always "forgot to pick it up" when we went anywhere) so there was no chance she'd pay for anything, especially not cricket gear! It looks like getting rid of her was a wise move in hindsight, as the money I've saved by not having to take her places paid for my new Warbird  ;)

As for the comment about divorce, or worse a stop on kit buying shenanigans - I'm glad you have your priorities right  :D

Really like the look of those help for heroes grips think I'll snap a few of them up soon. Also trying to work my way to the sales section as I kind of need a black masuri helmet but can't afford to buy new ! Hopefully I'll be there soon
