Title: Do We Think There is a Market for Tail-enders Gear?
Post by: FattusCattus on May 09, 2016, 06:21:25 PM
Well yes we do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce you to - 'DUCK DODGER CRICKET' - the ultimate range of kit aimed squarely at the hopeless duffer!

Bats will be made from ugly but pingy willow at a low cost, narrow edges, short blade / long handle - less to nick off with

Pads will be made from a superlight foam material to offer adequate protection, but also to aid easy movement towards square leg should anyone vaguely quick come on

Gloves will be inflatable mittens that are already attached to the bat handle for ease of use and correct grip

Boxes and thigh pads will be made from titanium, to ensure bye-scoring opportunities should you miss it with the bat.

who wants in at the ground-floor for this investment of the decade?

See!! I've already sorted the branding, simply tell me which logo you prefer, click on any one to be dazzled.............

Hmmmm - how about a nice little sticker for the back of the bat?

No.5 seems to be the fave at the moment!

Another vote for 2 and 5. I think you've found a nice little clothing range here

#5 is top but 'it's' doesn't need an apostrophe. Better to find out these things before than after you've printed them  :D

I don't know of any tail enders that buy gear, they just leach!

2 and 5 get my vote... i have to say @FattusCattus you must have way too much time on your hands what with your children book empire and now your foray into cricket gear and graphic design.

What other innovations are coming out of fattus industries?

A listening device that the captain can wear in the field and when it detects the standard of sledging has dropped it emits the fattuscattus top100 sledges on a random cycle?

How about the cricketing equivalent of a puncture repair kit, a small pouch containing some sand paper, super glue and small clamp. Easily clipped to the side of any helmet for the true bat enthusiast, who, when out in the middle notices a surface crack and just can't wait until after the game to deal with it

or the duck dodgers latest innovation - a mash up of fine willow and one of those "now that was easy" buttons.
Imagine the biggest tail ender insult... the opening bowler comes back on to clean the tail only for the ball to land right in the sweet spot of the tail enders cow corner ark and as the ball sails over the 9 men all within 10ft of the batsmen there isn't the beautiful sound of leather on wood but a loud and booming automated.... "Now that was easy"

@Boondougal - had the in-laws round the other night, so indulged in some graphic design to justify not going home :)

I can see number 2 being on a hand pull in an old countryside pub. Duck Dodger - Golden Ale.

I'm feeling that this could work nicely on the back of a bat.
