A long thin parcel arrived this morning. I have to admit to expecting it. This is the shipper.

Have just met up with a tall dark haired man in glasses, holding a tree with a red case and a white handle attached.

I knew Brimble would turn up one day

So... This wasn't a mistake then...

One very much doubts you've bought 2 G3 slazengers from Australia.
It's more a box made for 2 is needed to fit an oversized gray nics in.
-
Would love to see a 50+
-
It's a Gray Nics....

They start at 2lb 15.....
I haven't looked them up (being too big and heavy for me and made by GN) so didn't know that :-[
-
Oh get on with it Timothy! I have to get off the toilet at some point! !!!
-
XP-70?

XBox

XBox
Xtra Small Box?
-
White grip.. Has to be an XP of some sort.
50+ has Red & Kaboom Orange.
-
^ This. XP-70 is lighter than XP-80.
I have been contemplating XP-80. I won't have time to knock it and season is nearly over.
-
I'm hoping its a 2.9 XP-70...
-
Okay. Teased you enough! Those of you who voted XP-80.... You were right (and it's the cheap one)!

Purchased from Kingsgrove Sports and knocked in by them prior to delivery. It weighs in at 2lb 12oz and the eagle eyed amongst you might recognise that it is a Long Blade. It is half an iPad tall. It's huge. And very, very silly. And I love it!

For a bit of fun, I took it with me to the LMS game tonight where I expected to bat middle order for hits and giggles. And oh did I giggle. The spinner bowled one on my legs and a flick took it over deep midwicket/cow for six. A little flick. I chuckled to myself. Whilst it looks lik eit has a very high middle position, the middle is also huge. What I found fascinating was that the ball marks where all pretty much in the middle where the maximum hump is. Lovely!
I think it may be the silliest bat I have ever bought. It's also very rewarding and hits the ball a very long way. Move over Warner. Tim's in town! :D
-
Wow
-
That is literally insane! Although for over 450 quid I'd sort of expect it to be haha

Oh! You da man bruh!!!
I might get one now as well...so tempted!!!
How is the bow?
-
This may just be an optical illusion..but how small are the edges? 25mm?
The meat looks monstrous !!
-
That's massive. Something unique and special.
These bats for sure are leading to willow shortage ;)

I've no idea about the edges. I don't tend to measure them as I like to hit with the middle.... ;)
-
How much did postage/import set you back?
-
can't wait for my 2lb 8oz, XP80-GN50+ hybrid custom bat to arrive...
-
Wow, that's a ridiculous bat! I hope GN bring this model to the UK.
-
BAN BIG BATS THEY ARE RUINING CRICKET.
said no batsman ever.
-
Never mind slow over rates, ball tampering, player dissent or corruption, let's sort out this big bat problem!
-
Tim that is superb, this bat is what the forum is about for me 👍🏼
Serious bat envy!!
-
Would this even fit into the bat sleeve found in duffles??
-
I have to admit that it reminds me a lot of the first gen M&H Distinction, when that first appeared, but it seems much, much bigger than any of those were. It is an amazing feeling to walk out to the middle and have the keeper wide eyed at the size of the bat you are wielding!
Would this even fit into the bat sleeve found in duffles??
It just about fits into the Slazenger Wheeled duffle bat sleeves - they have quite a bit of room. It has no chance of fitting the Ton backpack I have. My Dynadrive and B3 1271-mod hardly fit in those and they are 2/3rds the size.
-
So only one question - how on earth are you going to maintain your sanity having that weapon in the house during the off season?
-
Having used a Warner edition and B3 Pepsi all last summer, its quite a nice feeling to walk out to the middle and have the keeper give a bit of lip about the size of your bat only to have him a few overs later politely enquire as to where i got it and comment on how well it goes... :D
-
Very jealous! I'm tempted to get XP 70
-
@tim2000s did you have to pay any import duty on it?
-
@tim2000s did you have to pay any import duty on it?
Sadly, yes, but worth every penny.
-
Does it have a stamp on the shoulder @tim2000s ?
-
What sort of percentage duty are we talking?
-
What sort of percentage duty are we talking?
WHatever the standard is. It was in the summer so I can't remember, but I've imported a few bats and none of them have avoided duty when coming new from a retailer.
-
Wonder if it may be cheaper shipping to friends in Melbourne then getting them to send on?
-
Should have a T stamped into the shoulder the really rare ones have an S as well , never lend it to another , i did & he hit the biggest 6 of the day straight into my car , it look lovely until it landed great shot shaun
-
^ What does an "S" stamp mean? My GN Warner replica has that stamp.
-
S for stuart there are 3 guys that can craft these custom big bats , having an S guarantees a stu made masterpiece

He told me he hit a big six ... Did it hit your car?
-
Yes he did indeed seans innings with my xp80 was great to watch , then dean borrowed my 50plus & hit 42 off 4 overs , hate it when the teammates use your gear better than you can
-
He said it was a sweet bat
-
Wait till you see the next pickup , an actual warner , even bigger than my replica comes with a longer handle bigger profile huuuge
-
Nice... looking forward to it
-

XP80s are great for hitting big shots. I managed to sweep a 75m one that I might have mentioned.

How is it possible? "An actual Warner, even bigger than my replica"? Are you sourcing these directly from the great man, the one-and-only, Stuart Kranzbuhler?
