We are on the way!

More than ever it is a trade focused event though, they were very strict on the invites this year. Not sure how many pictures ee will be able to grab

My usual attempt to sneak in has been scuppered by me having to be in meetings half the day. Ggrrr.

Sadly I can't make it down now, only had confirmation I could actually attend on Monday with a confirmation email and with my sons 1st birthday tomorrow it's not been idea timings.

Had planned to exhibit but having chased them for dates and details they weren't overly organised this year to say the least!

According to the staff on the gate, this would be an understatement to say the least.

According to the staff on the gate, this would be an understatement to say the least.

I began chasing them for a date of the event back in March as I wanted to ensure I could exhibit and avoid upsetting the family by missing my son's 1st birthday. Whilst at the same time trying to book a holiday with my parents  in Sept too who are taking us all away (its also my wifes bday on the 26th and my bday on the 28th so Sept is pretty packed!)

They said they were holding an internal meeting to confirm dates and would let me know once this had been held.....having emailed, rang and chased them since with no reply I was a bit miffed when speaking to the SF rep in August that they had booked their spot and knew times/dates etc.

The only reason I managed to get confirmation of attendance was thanks to Jake who forwarded the retailer form to me so I could at least show up and see if its worth spending £1k+ on paying to exhibit next year....made me think it was for the recognised "bigger" brands only no the Super6 has disappeared ???

Well some smaller brands were there including a few I've never heard of. There was also some company called 'Helmoid' or something with a new revolutionary helmet - perhaps they didn't want you rocking their boat?

(ps - Helmoid might be wrong, that sounds like something you would put up your bottom to relive itching).

Helmoid the revolutionary helmet - this sounds like something I need to look up on the internet with the safe search feature disabled... (Purely for research purposes, of course...)

bit high end price wise now Chase but another brand that has improved over the last few years. Very good bats, decent time spend on design and good quality...

Obviously the bats/softs etc haven't changed, but anything new from New Balance?

Short blade duckbill from Chase? Looks huge too! Need to pay them a visit, hadn't got my hands on one for a long time until one of my mates bought a Volante off ebay this season and my god it's nice.

Yup, looked like a SB/LH combo with a duckbill toe, Dan was pretty busy for the time that I was there, as were Salix and GM.  No so much Newbery, SF and Ton.

Big shout out to BAS who had a couple of new sets of softs that looked really nice, a burgundy colourway I think. Some of their bats were  huuuuuge!

I met Monty on the stand, he was picking up bats and playing all sorts of imaginary shots with them, making a clicking noise with his tongue when he connected with them!!! Not looking his happiest though I'm afraid.

Is it just me or do the shoulders of the middle Platinum bat look a little different to the other bats in that line up, made the Platinum is made by a different company maybe??

The shoulders to look slightly different but I bet it's just the camera angle that makes it look different.
