Hi guys, this is my first post so apologies if it is in the wrong area!
I'm looking to buy a new bat for the season and really need to get my (No Swearing Please) in gear. I have a budget at around £250. I realise that this is relatively low considering the cost of a top of the range branded bat, but was wondering if anyone could point me in the way of an independent company who may be able to help? Is it still possible to get grade a English willow for this price?
Cheers.

Welcome @MickyG - most of the forum sponsors will be able to sort you something very nice indeed for that price, if not cheaper! Take a browse around and see what you like the look of, as above Hunts customs via Vitas, Red Ink, H4L, Uzi, BlankBats, TCB etc will all have good options.
-
Hunts have received some very good reviews on here and it is certainly a good deal. I have had 2 excellent experiences with Red Ink, so you may want to consider one of those too. Where in the country are you?
-
Thanks very much guys, much appreciated.
I play cricket in Manchester but am not adverse to travelling - it's worth it for a good stick!
-
250 is more than enough to get a ping tastic grade 1 from plenty of places, possibly even custom made from some places.
-
Yes @MickyG £250 is plenty for a nice bat. Have a look at our website www.thecricketboutique.co.uk (http://www.thecricketboutique.co.uk) and if anything takes your fancy then drop us a message.
Thanks

I think £250ish get's you a 2 stripe from B3 as well, they have some great pre-designed shapes as well as the bespoke service, not too far from Manchester to Nottingham either, just to throw another hat into the ring!
EDIT: Ninja'd by Liam haha

Just got my very first BESPOKE B3 bat yesterday, must say pretty impressed with the pick up, balance as well as the ping. I vouch for B3

I bought a Fusion season before last... he only lives about 10 mins from me. I assume you can still get a fusion if you want one.
Not quite Manchester though.. more like Crewe.
With your budget i think you could end up with a really nice stick from any of the names mentioned, your also not that far from MSR in stoke if you wanted a more economical option or a back up or net bat.
2 others in stoke, JS sports (the bat Cave) have loads of mainstream gear and also sell Shark bats, plus another one to look at would be Spyder... loads of those bats in our league and too be fair one of our lads has one that would rival most top end bats i have seen for looks and performance.. its a great bat.

Not certain but i thought fusion were looking to train someone as the owner was looking to ceased bat making.
