New bat question
« on: February 21, 2017, 10:46:02 AM »

Hi guys, this is my first post so apologies if it is in the wrong area!

I'm looking to buy a new bat for the season and really need to get my (No Swearing Please) in gear. I have a budget at around £250. I realise that this is relatively low considering the cost of a top of the range branded bat, but was wondering if anyone could point me in the way of an independent company who may be able to help? Is it still possible to get grade a English willow for this price?
Cheers.

Welcome @MickyG - most of the forum sponsors will be able to sort you something very nice indeed for that price, if not cheaper! Take a browse around and see what you like the look of, as above Hunts customs via Vitas, Red Ink, H4L, Uzi, BlankBats, TCB etc will all have good options.

Hunts have received some very good reviews on here and it is certainly a good deal. I have had 2 excellent experiences with Red Ink, so you may want to consider one of those too. Where in the country are you?

250 is more than enough to get a ping tastic grade 1 from plenty of places, possibly even custom made from some places.

Yes @MickyG  £250 is plenty for a nice bat. Have a look at our website www.thecricketboutique.co.uk and if anything takes your fancy then drop us a message.

Thanks

You can get a custom made B3 to your exact specifications for 200 notes, if you can get to thier now factory you'll be able to pick your cleft. They alsohace a huge range of premade shapes to choose from.

I think £250ish get's you a 2 stripe from B3 as well, they have some great pre-designed shapes as well as the bespoke service, not too far from Manchester to Nottingham either, just to throw another hat into the ring!
