After having a catch-up with Tai about bats as always he tempted me by these absolute weapons and I can only say these bats have got better since my involvement
So the bats
bb b20- 2.9
49mm edge
Always been tempted by one of these monsters, what not to love massive all over pick up is incredible for such a lump. Performance is as good as anything. But what impressed me the most is the pressing. It seems like the pressing on these flat face bats is up there with the dome face I always used to request on my bats from the barn.
At £150 I really don’t think there’s a bat out there that comes close.
Bat 2
bb root edition 2.10
37mm edge
67mm spine
What I love most about this bat is the oval handle it is perfect and I am very fussy when it comes to handles
Looks wise this bat is also stunning.
Dome face- which sounds like a gun with the mallet all over the blade.
The pressing on this bat is as good as I have seen/heard and again a bargain at £225.
bb bats are the best value for money bats out there atm. UK made by the best and pressing you would pay a lot lot more for with bats that wore different stickers
Now for the good part

Nice. Where are BB based and who makes their sticks?
-
Thought this topic was going to be about Brimble and Shaqharris
-
Couple of real beauties there @Canners - you simply can't go wrong with a @Blank Bats stick.
Not only is he pressing the best in the business, but the shapes are spot on too and the B20 that I've got has an incredible pickup for the amount of wood.
I love the fact that the minimal stickers really show off the timber, and above all Tai is a top guy to deal with. Enough said.

Made in Sussex by a well known batmaker with his own brand now.
-
Thought they were. Do they have a base/showroom?

Sorry Buzz

Love them

I wonder if all 100 per cent of Blank Bats are made by the source given! and if so for how long as i hear there going to be a bit of a cull of smaller brands being made from that source.
Nice bats mind can not grumble with the quality of them.

This would make sense to push this well known sources own new brand.....

Lovely looking sticks mate! Is the bb root edition shorter blade too
-
Like the look of that club.
-
I love my B20, I can't put it down, I keep picking it up and scoring a quick IPL fifty with it in the spare bedroom.
Serious bats, and pick up like a dream. I am planning extreme violence with mine this year - in a proper batsmans way of course :)
-
The B20 does look a chunk of willow. I like the look of their B1 tho. Think I might be looking at one shortly in a lighter weight, as having used my H4L in a couple of nets it's just a touch too heavy. Shame as it's a cracking bat.
-
@Canners how thick is the handle on the B2? I prefer a thinner handle, so just wondered how this one feels?

Yes I am with you I prefer a tad thinner as long as it is very oval, this one fits the bill and feels very nice in the hands
For me handle shape is a key factor when choosing a bat
-
Thanks @Canners. Sounds good although ideally I'd prefer a round handle but not essential. Deciding between a BB or Aldred Prestige now, tough call.

Loving the B20 shape. The blitz version I got from Tai is an absolute beauty. You won't go wrong with a BB
