Well the T20 Blast starts tomorrow night with Notts vs Birmingham on the TV. Lots of the counties have already sold out most of their tickets showing this is such a well loved and great competition.

Lots of excellent Overseas in this years competition including 3 Afghanistani's for the 1st time.
North Group -
Birmingham - Jeetan Petal & Colin de Grandhomme
Derbyshire - Wahab Riaz & Lockie Ferguson
Durham - Tom Latham and Imran Tahir
Lancashire - James Faulkner and Joe Mennie

-
It's about time Worcestershire got to finals day!
-
Hoping we (Hampshire) can continue our good fortune/bloody good white ball cricket!
-
Finals day has already sold out — pretty good effort before a group match has even been played.

Not even a hampshire fan but that RL stint was very very impressive. Possibly the best fielding display of the season so far in that final too!
-
Sussex are the best equipped side in the tournament to me, in the same way Perth always do well in Big Bash, that bowling attack will take some stopping
-
Notts in the North group, Sussex and Kolpakshire in the South.
-
I think Sussex could do well definitely...... an attack of Rashid Khan, Archer, Mills and Jordan is pretty potent.
The usual suspects will be there or thereabouts of course.... Notts, Hants and Surrey.
I also think Yorkshire could finally pull out the T20 goods, as long as they get a decent start, Willey, Plunkett and Rashid should be back for the final 9 games of the group stage (including the Roses match), add in Kohler-Cadmore and they should challenge.
My team Northants will i am sure put up a plucky fight as T20 is what we do best, but can't see us getting past the group stage
-
- Finch and Maddinson still away for another week
- Tom Curran injured carrying drinks
- Roy and Sam Curran with England through the month. Sam will probably carry more drinks.
Great start for us Surrey lads. Backing Will Jacks to show his class like he did in the RLODC.

Can't see it - they miss big players at the start, only have one overseas now Big Billy has been rugged and Kane misses games too.

Feel your pain. Makes no sense taking players not to play.

Think Finch & Maddinson (and any other Aussie T20 players) should only miss the 1st 2 games?
Roy and the Curran's (Tom injury dependent) will be available as per the other England players. So will be around for a fair chunk of the tournament.
Eager to see both Pope and Jacks, you will be strong definately.

Agreed it makes no sense in not replacing Big Billy - especially if Williamson is missing games (which i didn't realise).

I don't think everything is quite right at t'mill...

All depends how long they have to spend out in Zimbabwe playing beer games. Roy/Sam will still miss the first four games anyway. Who knows what side we'll see this Thu/Fri, but I don't think it'll be a strong one

Because every Hampshire post I have ever made, has been swiftly followed by you trolling me with Kolpak related posts ;)
-
Reckon Kent could carry on the great momentum from county and 1day comp and Stoinis and braithwaite are decent T20 players along with billings, Blake and denley, bowling relies a lot on Henry upfront though
-

I resent that! I'm sure there was one about Sam Northeast and chequebook diplomacy that never touched on it! 😂

Good start so far, quite surprised to see Foakes so high up the order
-
Gwaaaan Rikki lad!
-
Reckon Surrey are 25 short on that track
-
Morkel dropping Cartwright could be very crucial
-
I'm gonna have another ECB whinge - and Yorkshire were not disadvantaged by it.
Work Sturks today. Had a net, and did not try to win the game. Bad enough that one side has their stars when the other doesn't. Worse when those stars don't try.
-

Had a badly bruised toe by all accounts. How much that effected him I don’t know.

Wish I could get 90 off 68 not trying!
-
Wish I could get 90 off 68 not trying!
Oh, me too. But if you look, Durham were 50 short, and Stokes made 30 of those 90 in the last two overs when the game had died.
I don't mind - we will, put bluntly, take any ECB related gifts going - but still...

Getting a bit tired of sky sports showing women’s cricket. They’ve over done it, of all the games played today, they decide this

Welcome to the snowflake world of hyper equality
-
Worcester Boys 4 out of 4
-
Was at the Durham v York match, really good crowd and a tight game.
Was very surprised Sky didn't have any T20 on tonight, couldn't the women's game be shown on mix or something?
-
Worcester Boys 4 out of 4
And now 4 out of 5.
Not going to diss Worcestershire - they deserve a lot of respect for their homegrown policies - but Go Yorkshire 2s! :)
-
Battering Kent like this is glorious
-
Yorkshire v Lancs with all the stars on show match down to 14 overs each side 7.45 start which is silly when you win toss the coin at 7.15pm think of the paying full house crowd when overs are cut.

I agree, however I feel its probably to give ground more time to possibly dry, reports suggest it was piss wet through
-
Cracking game going on. Livingstone was going crazy until Root pulled off a worldie.
-
Yep 79 off the 37 after Yorkshire allowed the ball to dropped between 3 players when he was on 4
-
Lancashire 142-2 off 11!! with 3 overs left. Rashid went for 44 off his 3 overs!!
-
Lancashire finish 176-2 off their 14 overs!!
This is going to take some chasing.
-
Not sure Yorks have the big hitters to get 177 off 14 overs
-
Big score by Lancs this.
Surely Yorkshire should just be blocking this out?? Thought that’s what people wanted?
-
What a game that aas! Gutted we lost but to get to within 1 run!
Great entertainment.
-
What a game of cricket!
Why did Willey open the batting? Surely Williamson should have opened?
-
Great game. Williamson yes for me too upto. He's a class act
-
Score 250 then get rained off. Ah.
-
Yorks should have opened with Williamson not willey he Showed in the IPL he can blast it.
-
Birmingham have just tied with Northants chasing 231!!! I was listening on the radio and they only needed 10 off the last over as well after Bell got 131!
-
Personally I think Kane Williamson is currently the best batsman in the world. So why would you send him in behind Willey, Plunkett and Bresnan? :o Yorkshire deserved to lose for that alone!
-
Great game, wonder if they took the Livingstone chance early though, hmm...
-
Another nail biter today! Who needs this new nonsense?!
-

The outfield was fit for the players to spend half an hour warming up on prior to the game. No one wants to see the game played in dangerous conditions but too often player is delayed when the light or ground conditions ate perfectly playable
-
Nice to see two smaller brands at the crease in the telly
Keeley and hell 4 leather
-
As I type that both go
Finn on hat trick
-
Well bowled Middlesex so far behind game great comeback in last 5!
-
Hampshire messed this right up. They should've chased this down with the start they had.
-
Hants 88 for 1 batters give there wicket away then the collapse.
-
Good start for Yorks Lyth hits woakes for 25 off his first over.
-
Kohler-cadmore's B3 sounds like a rocket!!
-
Good start for Yorks Lyth hits woakes for 25 off his first over.
be even better f they were calling no balls!
-
Bears getting a spanking here!
-
Dread to think of the score if this Surrey/Somerset game had its full 20 overs a side. That being said we're making it look easy
-
made the journey to northants last night was definitely worth it
-
Somersets 229 should be enough v Middlesex
-
Well well Kent v Essex Sun stopped play.
-
Wonder what Coles' problem with Billings is!
-
Wonder what Coles' problem with Billings is!
What happened?
-
What happened?
All we could see words were spoken by coles and Billings giving i it back followed by coming down the track and slapping Coles around the boundary maybe history between them after all they used be teammates.
-
Surrey v Middlesex Paul Sterling 109 off 58 balls Surrey needing 222 to win
-
Whatever we're paying Finch, double it
-
Finch making it look very easy
-
Finch 53 off 16 balls is the third fastest in the blast
-
Some knock here from finch. 140 up in 10 overs
-
It's pretty crazy from both of them!
-
Roy and Finch 194 partnership second T20 highest ever.
-
Come on the Reyyyyyy
-
Hants v Somerset Hants a disappointing 129 won't be enough
-
Hants have a strong side on paper, why are they so terrible?
-
You don't often see bats snap at the base of the handle when the ball hits the middle of the bat.
-
Not as often as I see M&H’s with cracked toes.
They do have extremely thin handles though.
-
And the Jets continue to fly! Two smallish totals defended in as many days from the Durham boys! Already booked finals day in at work!!
-
Yorks v lancs willey 50 Off 31 balls
-
Cadmore and willey partnership 100 off 59 balls.
-
CPL looks much much stronger than the t20 blast. Most bowling line ups in the blast are pants
-
Very flat pitches for the blast.
-
Our bowling is so abject, very lucky to get away with a rained off game tonight.
-

Not surprising with 5 overseas players allowed in the matchday 11 tbh.
That said, thew side Gayle played for have one of the worst bowling attacks I have ever seen other then that Nepåalses lad. They're a 3 man side.
-

Meh. I watched 20 minutes last night, and a 50 year old man who looked a bit like Chris Gayle and arch-slogger Evin Lewis were unable to lay bat on a 15 year old non-spinning off-spinner. It was a bit like watching our 2nds.
Actually, to be fair the lad looked like he had a bit of promise. But Rashid Khan this was not.

Can’t seem to find it showing anywhere in the UK any idea where it’s on? BT apparently but not according to their guide.

There was a match on Sky Sports cricket last night
-
Took my lads to their first match yesterday, Worcs v Derby. Looked a disappointing score by Worcester at 137-8, not what I'd hoped they'd get to see for their first experience. Joe Clarke looked in a different league to everyone else with a fine 76. Proved to be enough though as Derby never recovered from loosing 4 early wickets. Luke Wood looked sharp and Patrick Brown bowled very well. Boys happy and keen to go again, plus a win for Wocs and back top of the North group! :D

You Pears/Rapids!
Looking forward to a week today, when we rip the bears a new one in their own back yard.

Fantastic cheers!
-
Hants v Glam Hants 151 probably not enough after excellent start ( 60 off 4 overs )
-

Did anyone catch this send off from Tanvir in the CPL....
https://twitter.com/foz282/status/1027700473015545861?s=19
-
Another poor quality blast game.
On a side note - I’ve said it previously amazing that Ingram doesn’t play in other leagues (apart from BBL), always in the runs.
-
Tonight Sussex 187 v Glam should be enough with the bowling the Sharks have mills Rashid Archer Briggs Jordon
-
Karmel Mills bowling quick one ball 92 MPH
-
Joffra Archer bowls the quickest ball this T20 this season 94.5 MPH
-
This is one sided
That over from Rashid khan, the batsman Cook had no clue whatsoever.. it looked oh so village.
-
Rashid Khan unplayable 3 for 9 from 3 overs
Glam collapse from 50 for 0 to 88 for all out hat trick for Mills
-
April 2018. Yorkshire - if you go to the ipl willey we may have to tear up your contract. Just joncommitment to the club.
August 2018. Yorkshire - so yeah Patterson’s not playing wednesday, you fancy being captain willey??
Logic!
-
Today Lancs v Bears Lancs 102 all out
-
Looking like a pretty comfortable run chase for Birmingham
-
Better bowling performance from us last night, but I think it shows how much we've had to rely on Finch to carry this team this season.
-
Sums up the extremely low quality of the t20 blast where Jerome Taylor is somerset’s Overseas player, yet doesn’t get a look in at the CPL. Go figure.
No wonder the ECB are in talks with the CPL about not having the tournaments overlap
-
Kent 231 should be a winning score
-

I see that the CPL are very transparent about the salary each player receives. Does anyone know how the salaries in the Blast compare?
-
Serious game down at Canterbury tonight!
-
Seems like we're crashing out unless Middlesex actually pull this chase off. Sigh.
-
Kent 24 for 3 off 3 overs change in the batting order hitters for Kent still to bat
-
Still don't know how we lost to Kent like we did, Jesus Christ
-
Parkinson bowling well here!
Stoicism has no clue!!
-
What a hideous anticlimax, this is why T20 is not tests, few bad overs and the rest of the game is a formality.
-
Well, Buttler goes first ball. Ah.
-
Thanks for coming Buttler.......
-
Lancs 10 for 2 off 7 balls game on
-
Kents Milne bowling quick ave 92mph
-
Our ex Colt just got Jennings and got Kent back in the game! Bowling Imran ! :)
Used to get me out for fun in nets when he was about 14
-
Jennings looked in good touch too, big wicket
-
Certainly an exciting low scoring one
-
Jennings was batting well, but he still doesn't move his feet towards the ball. It maybe looks a bit worse because heis so tall.
Lancs thou good game thou
-
Well paced Lancs! Wasn’t fretting at all
-

Footwork against pace is overrated. Many of the greatest modern test batsmen hardly move their feet at all against quick bowling. Most important thing is to get into a good balanced position in line with the ball that gives you the chance to react to any movement off the pitch.
Jennings bats like a man with a stiff back.

your absolutely right. But please don't confuse Jennings with some of the greatest batsman playing.
the best comparison is Trescothick, tallish left hander with minimal foot movement but a weight transfer and fantastic hand eye co ordination.
Tresco was one of our best openers, a completely different class to Jennings

I loved Tresco, one of my favourite ever players.

what we would give for him now starting his career.
fabulous player

Anyone else going on Sunday - fingers crossed they got the weather wrong.
https://twitter.com/SomersetCCC/status/1032940972366327808
I can make Monday if its rearranged, but its a bit harsh to say you get no refund if its pushed back and you can't make it. I'd have thought it meant no play Sunday get your cash back and then any returned tickets go back on sale. Even worse if you've travelled from Notts.
-
Stokes is pretty good.
Also nice to see Root/Buttler get some BBL time this winter
-
Dur v Sussex Stokes according to Hawkeye
gets a wrong LBW decision
-

May have been the difference...
-
May have been the difference...
May well have been! Can’t excuse the batting after that though!
-
Seen 8 balls from Parkinson and already think he’s a better spinner than Rashid. The flight, drift and turn on that leggie
-
Moeen is Jos Buttler's kryptonite.
-
So who’s pat brown?
That’s some 19th over!!!
-
Worcs beat lancs by 20 runs four wickets for worcs pat Brown
-
Somerset's goose is cooked.
-
Worcs v Sussex final hope it's a closer match than the 2 semis
-
Wow, that Buttler masterclass... Jos is an absolute freak. Next level.
-
Sussex final score 157 is under par but with the best bowling attack in the competition its going to be close.
-
Ali’s thrown it away - Sussex fav’s here
-
What a game, what a day. And the ECB want to can this?!
-
Well done Worcester!
Well batted Ben cox!!!!!!
-
Ali’s thrown it away - Sussex fav’s here
I think you'll find that Jofra Archer threw it away
Moeen Ali player of the day, get in beard
-
Fantastic, well done Worcestershire!!!!!! 😀 I can't believe it, we've actually won! 😀😀😀😀😀
-
really nice to see a side full of home grown players win this! :)
-
such a great day. i was lucky to be able to spend time with the groundstaff during the day.
got to meet a lot of the players and be on the pitch celebrating after the game
