Jennings was batting well, but he still doesn't move his feet towards the ball. It maybe looks a bit worse because heis so tall.

Footwork against pace is overrated. Many of the greatest modern test batsmen hardly move their feet at all against quick bowling. Most important thing is to get into a good balanced position in line with the ball that gives you the chance to react to any movement off the pitch.

Jennings bats like a man with a stiff back.

your absolutely right. But please don't confuse Jennings with some of the greatest batsman playing.

the best comparison is Trescothick, tallish left hander with minimal foot movement but a weight transfer and fantastic hand eye co ordination.

Tresco was one of our best openers, a completely different class to Jennings

Anyone else going on Sunday - fingers crossed they got the weather wrong.

I can make Monday if its rearranged, but its a bit harsh to say you get no refund if its pushed back and you can't make it. I'd have thought it meant no play Sunday get your cash back and then any returned tickets go back on sale.  Even worse if you've travelled from Notts.

May well have been! Can’t excuse the batting after that though!
