Don’t know yet I’ll try to find out

Pads are the same as the BB moderns aren’t they? Gloves look really interesting!
-
I tried a prototype of these about 18 mo the ago when I met with Paul
The inners are available in a range of sizes and are based on the principle of a golf glove for that perfect fit the players in the video are eluding to.
The other advantage is something Paul said perhaps a manufacturer shouldn’t be looking to achieve but he’s not in the business to withhold innovations from customers. How many times have you had to buy a new pair of gloves because the backhand was knackered? I’d say most people will answer that with ‘none’
It’s usually the condition of the palms that necessitates a change. These gloves with interchangeable (and cheap) inners wil reduce the number of times you’ll have to buy a whole new set. Palms shagged? Just buy a new inner.
I saw less of the pad as it was still more of an idea.
Paul is one of very few people I’ve come across in the industry actively looking to produce innovations in pads and gloves, rather than just recycling/rebranding the existing designs of the major Indian manufacturers. I think he should be commended.

Fingertips especially is where you would want a bit more "feel" not a second layer.
You could cut the fingers off the inners if you want more feel

I agree with @DorsetDan re the gloves , in that they aren't for me . I dont wear inners because i need less bulk , more feel (even though i go through 5 or 6 pairs of gloves a year and would get more longevity from wearing inners). However if you don't have these needs or wears inners anyway then these gloves might be a goer .
Re the pads , i think they look great . A side benifit of the design is the inner knee/shin bolster could be retrofitted to certain pads ......if i hadnt bought custom stretton fox shin/knee bolsters for my morrants I'd definitely look at buying these to wear with them .
I guess , since they are a new product , sight unseen , it would require trying them in the flesh to know if they are suited to you or not .....and if noone stocks them then perhaps online purchasing aprehension may be a bit of an obstacle in converting people to using them .

IMO too many moving parts, not an innovation.
It amuses me how easily people uses the word innovation. Innovation would have been if a new material (may be something like D3O foam)being used.
Too many moving parts to protect against an object in a very thigh motion is never a good thing.
And double wrapping legs could affect blood circulation, but that's just my point of view.
-
Having seen, handled or sold virtually every pad and glove from every manufacturer (realistically there aren't that many manufacturers) I would say i'm pretty well placed to make a call on what is innovative.
I'm also still the only person in the topic who's actually seen/worn the items in question as far as i can tell.
As always with this forum, perhaps judgement should be reserved until you've actually handled the product yourself?

I hate inners, but i'd happily wear these D&P gloves.
Those who don't know who I am might just dismiss me as a D&P fan boy. I'm just giving credit where credit is due. Given my long standing association and relationship with B&S, this is an extremely difficult thing to admit.

Looks like innovation to me. I dont like wearing inners either but Id be keen to give them a try. Pads look good too.
-
I saw a more detailed vid on their website. The outer (shield) gloves come in 3 sizes . The inners come in 3 sizes and 3 thicknesses. Hard to know which size for both id need , although i guess id opt for the thinest ones . Again , online purchasing is an obstacle , as I'm tempted by these but not knowing sizing without being able to try them is very offputting . Also, no prices on the website as of yet .

Does anyone know who makes their uk bats?
-
Can't believe these are getting slated, this forum does baffle me at times.
It's a great idea, as Jake says 99% of the time you replace gloves due to worn out palms. I can only presume that a set of replacement palms are significantly cheaper than a whole glove, which means cheaper gloves for you lot.
What's the issue?!
Does anyone know who makes their uk bats?
I believe they're all made out in SA and then shipped over, but could be mistaken.

I'm not sure these would be for me, but you can't argue that they're not in some way innovative compared to whats out there.
It amuses me that people struggle with the definition of innovation.
P.S The internal combustion engine had a few parts more than what it replaced, it seems to have gone down ok ;)

On this forum - surely you're kidding Jakeus??? Everyone here is an expert, everyone here knows TK makes everything (even the moon and the stars), everyone on here knows who their softs come from (and that he's fallen out with his brother) and everyone on here can make a finite judgement on the success of a product simply by viewing a pic :D
Come on Jakeus - get with the programme!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Personally this looks different to anything I’ve seen before and fair play to them for at least trying to do something different.
-
I thought most on here replaced gloves to get this / next year's colour scheme / 'in' brand?
-
Seen on their facebook that you currently get the inners free of you buy a pair of outers. They have too many sizes for my liking without a proper size guide.
Similar to their bats, you can't even choose your weight if bought online.
-
The prices D&P offer look respectable.

I like the concept but £83 for a pair of gloves and the inners is in my view a bit steep.
They don’t do them in youth size so no good for me anyway.
-
No more expensive than the other big brands, with the bonus of it being a lot cheaper for each subsequent pair/palm - don’t see any issue with the pricing personally!
